Guest guest
I agree with Paul. I googled the Fiber 35 diet, since I was not familiar with it. Fiber IS important, but it won't be a miracle cure for weight loss. I've tried it (I've tried it all, believe me) and fiber is very over rated as a weight loss tool. As a HEALTH benefit, it IS important, of course, bit it's not a miracle cure for anything. From the Fiber 35 website: By definition, fiber is the indigestible part of fruits, seeds, vegetables, whole grains, and other edible plants. But one could just as easily call it a miracle nutrient. Why? Because fiber and fiber-rich foods actually help regulate blood sugar, control hunger, and increase the feeling of fullness—all of which are essential to losing weight and keeping it off. Well, there's your answer. By eating whole foods-fruits, vegetables, seeds, whole grains and plants, you get not only the benefit of fiber, but other important vitamins and minerals that are lacking in a processed fiber supplement. I would not take any of them, I'd freecycle them all, and look toward more of a "whole foods" approach to health-eat more fruits, veggies and whole, minimally processed grains as a LIFESTYLE, not as a diet. You can get plenty of fiber by getting a bag of whole, organic flax seeds, and grinding them up in a coffee grinder, and adding it to cottage cheese or oatmeal. I do it every day. Guest guest
I started the Fiber 35 diet (high fiber) & the Fiber35 fiber drinks are pretty expensive. However, thanks to this list I was able to find them for about 25% less at an online site vs buying at a local shop! Anyways, I have a huge container of Citracel that I had never even opened until now. My concerns are around the ingredients in Citracel. The Fiber35/Garden of Life fiber drinks have all natural ingredients & a wonderful mixture. Can anyone tell me how I get more info on how bad the Citracel ingredients are? I put the ingredients list below. I suspect I will need to throw it out but I was hoping to get some feedback (just in case I am wrong, I hate to think I wasted the whole, huge container!). I also have another huge, brand new container of Metamucil - throw that out too? Or can anyone tell me where I can go to research ingredients? Thanks so much for your help!!!! ----- --------- Citracel - Active Ingredients: Each 11.5 g adult dose contains:: Methylcellulose (2g -a non-allergenic fiber - laxative) Inactive Ingredients: Maltodextrin, Flavors (Natural and Artificial), Potassium Citrate, Riboflavin, Sucrose, Malic Acid, Other Ingredients:

Guest guest
Yes. For every food (alledged) product they process to death, they sell ten more medicinals to work on the problems the product causes. Fiber also absorbs toxins and waste during digestion, and its structure makes it easier for the intestines to move it out. I'm not against meat in moderation but meat does not have fiber to absorb and move waste. paul, tradingpost *********** REPLY SEPARATOR *********** On 8/25/2008 at 1:20 PM cyndikrall wrote: >I agree with Paul. Guest guest
Yep, I understand its not a miracle cure (wow, wouldn't THAT be nice!). What I mean by " I'm starting the Fiber35 diet " , is that its a part of it - I already eat flax seed every day and lots of veggies but I tend to stick with certain veggies & not much variety. I have a hard time eating high fiber bread. That is why I thought a " supplemental fiber drink " would help me out (from a health stand point as well as weight loss). And then of course, more water & more exercise! Also, you probably can't tell from my post but I really do try to stick with all organic (natural as a backup), no processed food, & go for as nontoxic as possible on everything - but I still get stuck on some things! Thanks for bringing me back around! That was a really good idea to Freecycle the Citracel & Metamucil! I know someone would want it! Thanks everyone!
