Guest guest
Yep, another question - I've got a lot lately! Over the weekend, my husband installed a water softener (much to my chagrin). He originally agreed to have it installed so that it did not flow through to our faucets or the lawn. Well, it wasn't done that way and he doesn't plan on changing it. (Sigh). I have filters on some of the sink faucets (kitchen & upstairs bathroom) but not outside. I have a filter on the shower heads to get rid of chlorine but none for the bathtub. How bad is this? (the water we use to water our veggies and the water in the bathtubs). Thanks again!!!! Barb
Guest guest
Hmmm, chlorine in your veggies. First thing I have to ask is, are you trying to grow organic veggies? If so, they are no longer organic once that chorine hits them. Some of the problems you could have is that the chlorine will get into the veggies. Is there any way you can put a filter on the faucet that goes to the garden and tub? Anyway to install another faucet for the garden that has a filter? I would do something. Ask your husband if he enjoys eating chlorinated veggies. Does he want a little bit of bleach with his veggies? Guest guest
With almost all city water chlorinated and flouridated, avoiding the stuff completely is impossible. In our case we're on a well that's drinkable so that's not a concern. It irrigates the garden also. paul tradingpost *********** REPLY SEPARATOR *********** On 8/25/2008 at 9:34 PM The Oklahoma Tomcat wrote: >Hmmm, chlorine in your veggies.
