Barb, the best gardening books I know of are Sunset guides, but I don't know if they cover vegetables or not. I'm not at home, so I can't go look at mine. But it's really interesting and very detailed in microclimates.

Can anyone recommend a vegetable gardening book? (I realize there are free resources on the web but I can't be on the internet for long periods of time and would like all info in one place!). I live in the Midwest so I was looking for something that talks about vegetables, best time to grow them, what vegetables to plant near each other, best time to plant/harvest, year round gardening for the midwest, etc.....Any suggestions? Thanks again!Barb

It's only a deal if it's where you want to go. Find your travel deal here.

Here's one for the Midwest, but I'm not sure if it covers veggies. Several used copies too:

This might help get you started, anyway. :-)Cyndi

There are many books published, if you have a local library I would start there. I would recommend that you try to locate any books written by Ruth Stout. Try to locate a subscription to Organic Gardening.
