MEDICAL INFORMATION: HERPES SIMPLEX INFECTION " Herpes simplex infection produces recurring episodes of small, painful, fluid-filled blisters on the skin or mucous membranes. The eruption subsides, although the virus remains in an inactive state inside the ganglia (a group of nerve cell bodies) that supply the sensory nerves to the infected area. Periodically, the virus is reactivated and begins replicating, often causing skin eruptions of blisters in the same location as the earlier infection. However, the virus may be present in the skin without causing an obvious blister; the virus in this state can serve as a source for infecting other people. Eruptions may be triggered by overexposure to sunlight, a fever, physical or emotional stress, suppression of the immune system, or certain foods and drugs, but often the inciting factors are unknown. The two types of herpes simplex virus that infect the skin are HSV-1 and HSV-2. HSV-1 is the usual cause of cold sores on the lips (herpes labialis) and sores on the cornea of the eye (herpes simplex keratitis); it is usually transmitted by contact with secretions form or around the mouth. HSV-2 usually causes genital herpes and is transmitted primarily by direct contact with the sores, most often during sexual contact. A recurrence of herpes simplex is heralded by tingling, discomfort, or itching, which precedes the blisters by several hours to 2 to 3 days. Blisters surrounded by a reddish rim may appear anywhere on the skin or mucous membranes, but they occur most often in and around the mouth, on the lips, and on the genitals. The blisters (which can be painful) tend to form in clusters, which join together into a large single site. After a few days, the blisters begin to dry, forming a thin, yellowish crust and shallow ulcers. Healing typically begins within 1 to 2 weeks after the appearance and is usually completed by 21 days. Blisters in moist body areas, however, are sometimes slower to heal. Some scarring may occur if eruptions keep developing in the same place or if a secondary bacterial infection occurs. " PRANIC HEALING TREATMENT: 1. Sweep the affected part alternately and thoroughly with LWG & LWO. If affected part is on the head, on the heart, on the spleen chakras or near them, sweep the affected part alternately with LWG & LWV. 2. Energize the affected part with LWG, LWB, then with LWV. 3. If infection and inflammation are severe, repeat treatment 3 to 4 times a day for the next several days until the condition stabilizes. IF INFECTION IS SEVERE: 1. General sweeping twice with LWG. 2. Follow steps 1 to 3 above. 3. Sweep the lungs. Energize with LWG, LWO, & LWV. 4. Sweep the basic and energize with WHITE or LWR. 5. Sweep the minor chakras of the arms and legs and energize them with LWV. 6. Sweep the spleen and navel chakras. Energize navel chakra with LWV. 7. Sweep front and back solar plexus and the liver. Energize with LWG, LWB, then LWV. 8. Sweep the throat chakra. Energize with LWG, LWB, then LWV. 9. Sweep the front and back heart chakra. Energize back heart with LWV. 10. Sweep the crown, forehead, ajna, and back head chakras. Energize them with LWG, then with more of LWV. 11. Keep the infected area clean by gentle washing with soap and water. The area should then be carefully dried; allowing the blisters to stay moist may worsen the inflammation, delay healing, and possibly promote a bacterial infection.
