Guest guest
Hello, There is a guy I know, who has had some bad luck with his ears. One of his ears, he has naturally been losing the hearing out of over the past 10 years.....but he can still hear out of it.... His other ear was damaged when a baseball or softball hit his head and damaged his ear. He was in pain for a month or so after that, and he went to a chiropractor...and the chiropractor...made some adjustments and the pain is now gone. His hearing has not yet returned in it though....What suggestions or ideas does anyone have? Thanks Richard.
Guest guest
Richard, He needs to see a qualified medical practitioner first (an ENT surgeon) and get a diagnosis on BOTH ears. How old is he and is his hearing loss (in the first ear) age-related ? Trauma can rupture the ear-drum (Tympanic membrane) but it can also dislocate and damage the delicate little bones of the middle-ear. There may also be blood (from the trauma)in the middle-ear causing problems of pressure in the middle-ear, and contributing to the pain and hearing loss. He really needs to get a medical opinion urgently before proceeding with any other therapy. He is about 55 years old...He HAS been to one or two ENT Doctors...but they couldnt find anything wrong with either ear...I will recommend he gets a 2nd opinion with a new ENT Doctor in the Houston area. Do ya know any? Richard
