Dear David,

Namaste.

Thank you for your email.

Medical Background:

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is one of the most

common disorders. IBS is characterized by abdominal

pain or cramping and changes in bowel function —

including bloating, gas, diarrhea and constipation —

problems most people don't like to discuss. For many

years IBS was considered a psychological rather than a

physical problem.

Signs and symptoms of IBS vary widely from one person

to another and often occur with many other diseases.

IBS doesn't cause inflammation or changes in bowel

tissue or increase your risk of colorectal cancer. In

many cases, you can control IBS by managing your diet,

lifestyle and stress.

The walls of the intestines are lined with layers of

muscle that contract and relax as they move food from

your stomach through your intestinal tract to the

rectum. Normally, these muscles contract and relax in

a coordinated rhythm. But if you have IBS, the

contractions are stronger and last longer than normal.

Food is forced through your intestines more quickly,

causing gas, bloating and diarrhea. In some cases,

however, the opposite occurs. Food passage slows, and

stools become hard and dry.

No one knows exactly what causes IBS. Some researchers

believe IBS is caused by changes in the nerves that

control sensation or muscle contractions in the bowel.

Others believe the central nervous system may affect

the colon. And because women are two to three times

more likely than men to have IBS, researchers believe

that hormonal changes also play a role. Also, many

women find that signs and symptoms are worse during or

around their menstrual periods.

For reasons that still aren't clear, if you have IBS

you probably react strongly to stimuli that don't

bother other people. Triggers for IBS can range from

gas or pressure on your intestines to certain foods,

medications or emotions. For instance, chocolate, milk

and alcohol might cause constipation or diarrhea. And

the least bit of stress might send your colon into

spasms.

If you're like most people with IBS, you probably find

that your signs and symptoms are worse or more

frequent during stressful events, such as a change in

your daily routine or family arguments. But while

stress may aggravate symptoms, it doesn't cause them.

Sometimes another illness, such as an acute episode of

infectious diarrhea (gastroenteritis) can trigger IBS.

Antibiotic use also may be a factor because

antibiotics disrupt the normal bacterial flora living

in your bowel. Excessive use of laxatives and even

some antidiarrheal medications may contribute to the

problem as well.

If you experience cramping and bloating mainly after

eating dairy products or sugar-free gum or candies,

the problem may not be irritable bowel syndrome.

Instead, your body may not be able to tolerate the

sugar (lactose) in dairy products or the artificial

sweetener sorbitol.

Pranic Healing:

1. Invoke and scan before, during and after

treatment.

2. Instruct the patient to do abdominal pranic

breathing fro 12 cycles before start of treatment.

Continue pranic breathing during treatment.

3. General sweeping several times.

4. Localized thorough sweeping on the front and back

solar plexus chakra. Energize the solar plexus with

LWG, LWB and then with more of ordinary LWV.

5. For experienced, advanced pranic healers, apply

localized thorough sweeping on the front and back

solar plexus chakra and on the liver alternately with

LWG and LWO.

Energize the solar plexus chakra with LWB, LWG and

LWO.

6. Localized thorough sweeping on the front, sides

and back of the lungs. Energize the lungs directly

through the back of the mungs with LWG, LWO and then

with LWR. Point your fingers away from the patient's

head when energizing with O.

7. Localized thorough sweeping on the basic chakra

alternately with LWG and LWO. Energize the basic

chakra with LWR.

8. Localized thorough sweeping on the navel chakra,

the small and large intestines, and the lower

abdominal area. Energize the navel with

LWG, LWB and more of ordinary LWV.

9. Localized thorough sweeping on the entire spine,

sides of the spine from the base of the head to the

end of the tailbone.

10. Localized thorough sweeping on the front and back

heart chakra. Energize the heart chakra through the

back heart chakra with LWG and then with more of

ordinary LWV.

11. Localized thorough sweeping on the front and back

spleen chakra with LWG.

Energize the spleen with LWG and then with ordinary

LWV.

Do not energize the spleen chakra if the patient has

hypertension.

12. Localized thorough sweeping on the kidneys

alternately with LWG and LWO. Energize them with LWR.

13. Localized thorough sweeping on the meng mein

chakra.

14. Localized thorough sweeping on the throat chakra,

ajna chakra, forehead chakra, crown chakra and back

head chakra. Energize them with LWG then with more of

ordinary LWV.

While energizing the ajna chakra gently but firmly

instruct the ajna to normalize and to harmonize all

the other chakras and organs.

15. Stabilize and release projected pranic energy.

16. Repeat treatment three times per week.

17. Encourage the patient to practice the Meditation

on Twin Hearts and blessings properly daily unless

there are other medical conditions that do not permit

the practice of the Meditation. When practiced with a

group, the healing energy and beneficial effects of

the Meditation is increased exponentially. This

raises the rate of healing.

18. Regular bath in water with salt.

19. Regular aerobic physical exercise like swimming

and walking.

20. Proper abdominal pranic breathing for 5 minutes,

several times each day especially when experiencing

stress.

Love,

Marilette
