Namaste Marilette,

 

a question that has been bothering me for a very long

time, am hoping grand master's teachings can offer

some guidance. It is to do with karma which I

understand can be broad and general.

 

Are there karmic implications if a person invests in a

business venture that causes harm or damage to others.

eg. if someone buys shares in a company, or

even works for a company that manufactures guns, will

that person receive any negative karma if those guns

go on to kill people. Also, if a person sells

drugs, are there karmic implications?

All is energy.

 

The universal Law of Karma is the Law of Cause and

Effect.

 

For every action or cause, there is a corresponding

reaction or effect. The degree of the effect depends

on the degree of the development of awarenes and will

of the person.

 

Whenever we direct our attention to an object or idea,

we energize it. Intention is also energy, it has

degrees of quality as well as quantity. Obviously,

since the object or idea, too, has energy, the

responding energy or reaction will have varying degree depending on the quality

and power of the responding object.

 

Investing in a project implies study and knowledge of

the nature of the project. It also implies intention to

energize the project with materialized energy or money.

For a student who has been taught, and therefore is aware of

spiritual laws, to invest or energize a project whose

end result brings harm to other sentient beings for

personal gain, the student is knowlingly going against the

virtue of loving kindness or harmlessness.

 

Based on the Principle of Interconnectedness, what

you do to others, you to yourself. Can you imagine how much delay in your

spiritual development due to th amount of effort you would have waste in working

out all the harmful karma that drugs and guns will bring? Can you imagine the

number of lifetimes of pain and suffering you will have to live to work out

these harmful effects of the deed? Surely, there are many, much easier ways to

make money which will make life easier, not worse.

 

The development of loving kindness is connected with the development of the

heart. The heart is connected with prosperity and abundance! Therefore, the

pratice and development of loving kindness or harmlesness is essential for

prosperity.

 

Master Choa Kok Sui has been teaching students for

many years the priciples, concepts and simple

techniques to make spiritual development a natural part of a life that is easier

and happier. The development of virtues - leading among them is loving kindness

- is a primary and essential feature among these precious teachings.
