Guest guest
Pat M You can take horsetail, also known as shave grass. You can take it as capsules or make a tea out of it, which can be taken hot or cold. The colder it is, however, the thicker, more viscus it is. It has silica in it. It's great for the hot bowels, for hair skin and nails. I took it when I had severe plantar fasceaitis on both feet. I also took bromalaine and ate pineapple. That is also a natural anti inflamatory. Also, slippery elm is good for cooling a hot gut. Guest guest
My sister has recentley been diagnosed with IBS, I am wondering if anyone here might have some suggestions on how to deal with this condition. Thanks in advance, Tammy Tammy, I understand that soaking a soft cloth in Castor Oil and placing on the abdomen with a warmed cloth or heating pad over it (on low of coarse) for 20 minutes helps. I haven't had the need to try this, but when I research on the oils I use in my products.this always comes up for uses of Castor Oil. Let me know if it helps, as would like to know if this ol' home remedy works! Anita

The dr just gave me some drugs and told me to live with it, basically. I spoke with someone who has osteoarthritis and she said to cut out dairy products and see if that helps and boy did it ever. I believe that I have been suffering for about 20 years. I had my gallbladder out and in the beginning I ran to the bathroom after anything fried or greasy. I thought I had worked through it and then when I was promoted and the stress increased it seemed like I was back to square one. I now drink the milk for lactose intolerant people and I can enjoy a bowl of cereal again. Kat

WITH THANKS AND IN FULL FAITH. Radha " MAY GODS BLESSINGS BE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ALWAYS " GMCKS. =================================== Dear Radha, A Loving Atma Namaste! Thank you for your email. The protocol for irritable bowel syndrome was given in message # 2538. A copy of the message is enclosed for your easy reference. Medical Background: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is one of the most common disorders. IBS is characterized by abdominal pain or cramping and changes in bowel function including bloating, gas, diarrhea and constipation; problems most people don't like to discuss. For many years IBS was considered a psychological rather than a physical problem. Signs and symptoms of IBS vary widely from one person to another and often occur with many other diseases. IBS doesn't cause inflammation or changes in bowel tissue or increase your risk of colorectal cancer. In many cases, you can control IBS by managing your diet, lifestyle and stress. The walls of the intestines are lined with layers of muscle that contract and relax as they move food from your stomach through your intestinal tract to the rectum. Normally, these muscles contract and relax in a coordinated rhythm. But if you have IBS, the contractions are stronger and last longer than normal. Food is forced through your intestines more quickly, causing gas, bloating and diarrhea. In some cases, however, the opposite occurs. Food passage slows, and stools become hard and dry. No one knows exactly what causes IBS. Some researchers believe IBS is caused by changes in the nerves that control sensation or muscle contractions in the bowel. Others believe the central nervous system may affect the colon. And because women are two to three times more likely than men to have IBS, researchers believe that hormonal changes also play a role. Also, many women find that signs and symptoms are worse during or around their menstrual periods. For reasons that still aren't clear, if you have IBS you probably react strongly to stimuli that don't bother other people. Triggers for IBS can range from gas or pressure on your intestines to certain foods, medications or emotions. For instance, chocolate, milk and alcohol might cause constipation or diarrhea. And the least bit of stress might send your colon into spasms. If you're like most people with IBS, you probably find that your signs and symptoms are worse or more frequent during stressful events, such as a change in your daily routine or during family arguments. But while stress may aggravate symptoms, it doesn't cause them. Sometimes another illness, such as an acute episode of infectious diarrhea (gastroenteritis) can trigger IBS. Antibiotic use also may be a factor because antibiotics disrupt the normal bacterial flora living in your bowel. Excessive use of laxatives and even some antidiarrheal medications may contribute to the problem as well. If you experience cramping and bloating mainly after eating dairy products or sugar-free gum or candies, the problem may not be irritable bowel syndrome. Instead, your body may not be able to tolerate the sugar (lactose) in dairy products or the artificial sweetener sorbitol. ................................................................... Bhagwan
Dear friend, I used to have a lot of pain and irritable bowel syndrome, which I have completely cured using just four hatha yoga postures every morning as well as changing my diet to a high fibre diet. But the yoga postures were definitely the main thing and brought results very rapidly after I started using them every day.The four postures that I used every day, just for a short time were,The Candle(Sarvangasanga),The Cobra(Bhujangasana),The Plough(Halasana),and The Wind-liberating posture(Muktasana),in this order. These four are all good for any intestinal and stomach problems, they certainly cured mine. Good luck to your son, Bhagwan
