Re: Re: [CrystalHW] Damaged Geode

Martha,

I have mixed feelings about returning it. I also explained the entire sonario

of how the situation kind of festered slowly into the position I now find myself

in. I don't know if each time I respond to one of these emails that each person

receives it so, I am thinking you will read the story in my response to another

email sent on the subject.

I feel it's tainted, but then again, why was it sent to me? I make myself nuts

swinging back and forth. It is stunning.........except for that empty black

spot of glue.

I feel I should have a perfect one, but then again, maybe I should love this one

and not shun it. My son loves it, and HE is the reason why I didn't send it

right back as he did influence me.

Dear Jean,

In the wholesale world it is very common to get peices that have been glued

accross the back matrix. This happens all the time with geodes. That does not

make it right but I am just letting you know how common it is.

But if the crystals are intact and you love the piece regardless then it will

bring immeasurable value into your life. Oftentimes when you see the black line

it is a mud caked over a glue. It is a hard call though so go from gut.

Good luck and Be Blessed,

Dawn Silver

It's tainted because it's not perfect? Then aren't we all tainted? (I know I

am not perfect--thank God, what a burden that would be!)

I was going to give you advice on how to dispute the purchase if you put it

on a credit card (that's what I do for a living), but obviously first you have

to decide whether to return it.

How old is your son?

Dear Rlrlp

I have a few pieces that have been died, glued, chipped and cracked. I look

at it that there must be some area in my life that needs the help of these

stones. I have found that each type of thing that has happened to the stones

has new healing powers added to help us. For instance, a cracked stone helps

with traumatic events, they don't have to even break all the way through. I

have found that it seems to increase their power to help us. I had one stone

that seemed to irritate me, I think it was helping me having an emotional

release, and the big thing was to allow the emotions to release and love the

stone. I also found that even on the stones with coloring that I am drawn

too they have a need for my life. So if you or someone in your family has

had some traumatic event or some stress that is hard to let go of, maybe

that is why this friend is here.

I look at the stones as there is a reason as to why they have come to me,

there is a need even if it is to have for a time to give a treasured friend

who needs it and it will release from me and go to them. I have some stones

sitting in my office and my daughter comes in and will grab a specific one

and ask if she can hold it for a while and she will come back hours later

and tell me she is done and puts it back.

Don't focus on the stones injury and focus on its beauty and healing power,

and that it is here for someone who needs it.
