REIKI CRYSTAL GRIDS

 

Crystal grids are a way to align crystals, usually quartz points, to intensify

and magnify energy for manifestation or healing. In Reiki, the crystals are

programmed to magnify Reiki energies for healing.

 

In a grid, crystals are arranged in a geometric structure to direct energy

inward or outward, like a sacred mandala. The most popular shape, both in the

crystal world and the Reiki world, is the six-pointed star, though each shape

brings its own unique properties. I think the six-pointed star is associated

with integration, balance, and the heart chakra, so it is a perfect shape to use

in Reiki.

 

Reiki grids are usually taught in the more New Age versions of Reiki, from the

Tibetan traditions on out, as part of the Master Practioner or Master Teacher

levels. Reiki crystal grids are used to send Reiki continuously to a recipient.

In a Reiki session, distant or in person, you are limited to the time of the

session. With a grid, the Reiki energy can continue to be sent even when the

person who set it up is off doing other things. There are many grid techniques,

including using the Antahkarana symbol as the grid pattern. I use the following

symbol technique.

 

Step one

 

Take six quartz-crystal points of a similar size that you have already

cleansed and charged, and place them on a hard surface where they will not be

moved over a period of time. Arrange them like a six-pointed star, with the

points pointing inward. If they are double terminated, or double-pointed, you

will intend that the energy flow inward as you do this.

 

Step two

 

In the center of the star, place something that will connect you to the person

to whom you wish to send Reiki. It can be a photograph, a piece of jewelry, or

a piece of paper with the person’s name on it. You can have many recipients in

the grid.

 

Step three

 

Take a moment to center yourself, and say an evocation or prayer for divine

guidance. Ask to send Reiki to this person, or people, for the highest good.

Moving clockwise, activate the crystals in the first triangle by simply pointing

to them and saying “Activate” silently or out loud. Do this three times around

the triangle.

 

Step four

 

Continue with the second triangle. Activate each crystal, moving clockwise

until you have gone around the triangle three times.

 

 

Step five

 

Envision the center of the grid filling with Reiki light and going off to the

ones in need. You can draw the Reiki symbols over the grid if you desire, to

add the intention of healing.

 

The Reiki grid can be activated and deactivated upon command. It will

deactivate on its own when it is no longer for the highest good to send Reiki,

when the person is “full,” so to speak. So I like to reactivate it every day

when using it. I make it a part of my morning devotional prayers. It’s a

powerful way to send healing when you cannot focus on the recipient.
