You can clean your crystals in various ways, yes you can use sage,

lavender, sweet lemongrass and clean or charge your crystals, however

I do charge and cleanse mine, in the sun to sun down over night, not

everytime, but 2twice a week yes, and I also suggest you let them see

rain as well not to much as you know rain can also discolor some

stones, another cleanse I do also is boil a pot of water, and soak

them in a glass bowl just a plain bowl. and yes sea salts or salt will

eat and discolor some quartz not all. as far as you tinted window I

dont see why it would not charge or clense, think your just fine, hope
