Guest guest
HI, I have a question. I have uncontrolled asthma from Gulf War Syndrome. I went to a Native American jewelry show and was immediately drawn to a piece of golden amber with some dark granuales of something in it. It is not set in metal but was drilled, so the stone lies directly on my chest. It always feels warm and it seems to have helped me emotionally is nothing else. Is Amber known at all for healing properties? I am from south Texas and have been a sun worshiper all my life. The texture and color reminds me of warmth and comfort. Is it my imagination or is it emotionally helpful? Or am I just being superstitious? Debi Cole PS my Doctor is from India and supports my wearing it. Guest guest
Hi Debi, Yes Amber has some very direct healing aspects. It is used to conduct and stimulate electrical impulses throughout the energy fields and physical body. I first learned this in highschool physics when I was doing an experiment to generate static electricity. I took lambswool and rubbed (like aladin rubbing the genies lamp) an amber rod. I caused some device I had to move around and around ( I forgot the name of it). It can cause your hair to stand on end and for you to receive one hell of a shock. You can see the electrical current, like a lightening spark. Amber is a poor conducter of heat and that is why it always feels warm against the skin. Metaphorically I look to amber a protectve force and perserver of history. Before it cools it is an amorphous sappy material from a pine believed extinct. As it hardens it encases bugs and ferns and other bits os life like specimens within a showcase. Enjoy your amber...certainly as it rubs against your skin it is creating some untold magic. For me, amber is about the flow of life force (chi) within us - releasing blockages. Where Peggy was always drawn to amber - I was actually the opposite until recently! I've always been more comfortable with stones that felt hard and cold to the touch (such as jade, obsidian, pietersite), but lately I've learned to embrace many stones with different types of surfaces - and amber is definitely one of them! I still don't wear it, but I have a piece that I meditate with from time to time. When I do, I feel/see/sense a glow from within the amber. It is very warm and healing and comforting. Have you tried meditating with it? (Or doing whatever might be comparable for you, such as " dancing " with the stone spirits. You should, of course, use whatever terms/methods work for you! Just be open to what the spirit of the stone has to share with you.) I wish you the very best with your search for relief. Asthma is certainly an insidious health problem. My husband, right now, is trying to work through issues of sugar imbalance, and that's another health problem that can be hard to " get a handle " on - so we have some vague idea of what you're going though! Brightest Blessings! Mary
Guest guest
I have included amber in all of my combinations for treatment over the past 25 years of my work. It taps into one's DNA looking for a balance and leads the body back to it. The best part is if you were born with a condition...let's say diabetes, and so was your Mom, and so was your Grandmother, etc. Amber, because we hold the DNA patterns of all our ancesters, merely searches until it finds a well pattern to give the body that memory of wellness back.
