Healing Amber?

HI, I have a question. I have uncontrolled asthma from Gulf War

Syndrome. I went to a Native American jewelry show and was immediately

drawn to a piece of golden amber with some dark granuales of something

in it. It is not set in metal but was drilled, so the stone lies

directly on my chest. It always feels warm and it seems to have helped

me emotionally is nothing else.

Is Amber known at all for healing properties? I am from south Texas

and have been a sun worshiper all my life. The texture and color

reminds me of warmth and comfort. Is it my imagination or is it

emotionally helpful? Or am I just being superstitious?

PS my Doctor is from India and supports my wearing it.

Yes Amber can be really helpful in many ways

*Amber:

This fossil resin, (tree sap) is most often golden yellow or brown, it promotes

healing by transmuting negative energy into positive energy it is calming and

cheering. Promotes active intellect in harmony with

love and compassion in daily life. Helps to promote honesty and purify and clear

rooms. Beneficial to the nervous system and self healing.

*A*mber is one of the stones that is often imitated or reconstituted

or altered so one must be very careful when buying it.

Who can resist the frozen honey and golden light of AMBER? It is natures stone

and the stone of ancient memories and connection with the animal and plant

spirits it is a stone of fluidity echoed in the flow patterns of the petrified

tree sap.One of the Sun stones a power bringer. In a way amber embodies the

element Fire Amber w is the essence of light, warmth and flame., Earth,

because it is the petrified product of ancient trees existing because of

natural growth. Water because sap is the equivalent of blood and the river of

life in a tree as water is the essence of life to the land and air because of

the

fragrance memories preserved within the flesh of the stone. *

*Amber is a stone which is a great All purpose and general

healer and is traditionally called upon for treatment of a great

number of diseases and conditions. I wore Amber for a long time and it

did seem to help me with heart issues both emotional and physical, It

did not however seem to have any effect on my varicose veins, another

condition for which it is often listed. *

*Amber has long been used for treating stubborn infections and

inflammations. * *It has been part of many grids and in a pouches for pain

particularly back pain and surgical / post surgical recovery as well as study

grids and many other missions.*

*Amber is perhaps the first stone I ever " worked " with. I can't have

been more than four. My grandmother had a long strand of amber beads

which I was told would be mine when I grew up. Apparently when I was

measured someone must have said that I " grew up " because I went and

retrieved the necklace from where it was kept, took it outside and

apparently " gave it to the fairies " taking it apart ( it may have

broken) and scattering the beads in the garden and in the creek in back

of grandmothers' house. Grandma was actually pretty mellow about it but

my mom was very mad!

Hi Debi,

Yes Amber has some very direct healing aspects. It is used to conduct and

stimulate electrical impulses throughout the energy fields and physical body. I

first learned this in highschool physics when I was doing an experiment to

generate static electricity. I took lambswool and rubbed (like aladin rubbing

the genies lamp) an amber rod. I caused some device I had to move around and

around ( I forgot the name of it). It can cause your hair to stand on end and

for you to receive one hell of a shock. You can see the electrical current,

like a lightening spark.

Amber is a poor conducter of heat and that is why it always feels warm against

the skin. Metaphorically I look to amber a protectve force and perserver of

history. Before it cools it is an amorphous sappy material from a pine believed

extinct. As it hardens it encases bugs and ferns and other bits os life like

specimens within a showcase.

Enjoy your amber...certainly as it rubs against your skin it is creating some

untold magic.

Blessings,

Hi Debi:

First of all, I'm sorry to hear about your asthma - but let me also

thank you for your service!

For me, amber is about the flow of life force (chi) within us -

releasing blockages.

Where Peggy was always drawn to amber - I was actually the opposite

until recently! I've always been more comfortable with stones that

felt hard and cold to the touch (such as jade, obsidian, pietersite),

but lately I've learned to embrace many stones with different types of

surfaces - and amber is definitely one of them!

I still don't wear it, but I have a piece that I meditate with from

time to time. When I do, I feel/see/sense a glow from within the

amber. It is very warm and healing and comforting.

Have you tried meditating with it? (Or doing whatever might be

comparable for you, such as " dancing " with the stone spirits. You

should, of course, use whatever terms/methods work for you! Just be

open to what the spirit of the stone has to share with you.)

I wish you the very best with your search for relief. Asthma is

certainly an insidious health problem. My husband, right now, is

trying to work through issues of sugar imbalance, and that's another

health problem that can be hard to " get a handle " on - so we have some

vague idea of what you're going though!

Brightest Blessings!

Mary

I have included amber in all of my combinations for treatment over the past 25

years of my work. It taps into one's DNA looking for a balance and leads the

body back to it. The best part is if you were born with a condition...let's say

diabetes, and so was your Mom, and so was your Grandmother, etc. Amber, because

we hold the DNA patterns of all our ancesters, merely searches until it finds a

well pattern to give the body that memory of wellness back.
