Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am new! I wanted to share my story of today... Two days ago, I saw chiastolite for the first time in The Book of Stones. I was powerfully drawn to the image in the book. Yesterday, I went to my local rock shop in search of non heat treated citrine (no luck there!) and saw chiastolite lying in a little dish behind glass doors. I loved it the second I saw it. There were four slices in the dish. Right away I knew which one I had to hold and ultimately buy... So. today, my mother had an an appointment with a neurologist to find out if she had Parkinson's disease or not. I picked her up and we went out for breakfast. Over my plate of eggs over medium, I took my new piece of chiastolite ( I had slept with it) and showed it to her. She immediately rubbed it and then stuck it into her purse!!! Oh my god, she stole my chiastolite!!! That's what I was thinking, except the nice mature part of me thought " wow, this is the stone for her...it's bringing her peace " etc... So all day, even at the doctor's office, I was obsessing about " my stone " . My mother does not have Parkinson's, but has a combination of ailments that look like Alzheimer's Disease. We will see. After I took her home, I went back to work and felt like I had lost my child somewhere. I have never been so completely flipped out over a rock before. I left work, returned to the store, bought her a new one. I called her and she said, " i was just rubbing the stone, I LOVE IT. " I replied as fast as I could, " I bought you one just for yourself! It's just the same but for You! " Itold her I never intended to give her the stone earlier, I was just showing it to her. SILENCE.Crap. Now I have done it. My guilt was too much. But I never stand up for myself! I have to have this rock!!! I picked up my son from her house after school and work... " Here it is, your new cross stone! " She stuck out her lip, " It's not as good " Kills me. I take Bach's Flower Essence for Guilt (Pine) doesn't help. At dinner, my son says, " You know, the greatest sign of love is giving something that someone wants with their own eyes right at first! " ( he is eight years old. He is trying to say, Love at first sight " Anyway, I can't believe my little boy says this. I call my mom, and she tells me I need a gallon of Dr. Bach's Guilt Essence and that she is happy with the new slice of chiastolite. Whew...what a giving a stone away issue. The post from the guy wanting stones because they are pretty made me write this. thanks for listening! Lori

Guest guest
Aloha Lori I love your story. . . seems that they have minds of thier own and know just when to call us and when to show up (and disappear for that matter). I have been looking for the name of the stone with the cross on it for over two months. I have some that are small puffy hearts and was not given the mineral name by those I purchased them from, so blessings for sharing you story and leading me to the information I was seeking. I did a quick google and discovered that it is a form of Andusulite. In case anyone want to see pics, here is a link to good representation http://www.mindat.org/min-1001.html Best of wishes to your Mom in her recovery to . Sounds like she tuned in already! Guest guest
I can totally relate to this as well...some of my more beautiful stones are now in the collection of other people because they just SEEM to belong to someone else. Especially huge chunks of rose quartz and celestite-everyone needs peace, love and angels! But I find that if I am meant to have a stone, the person will give it back eventually, or a similar or better stone will come my way very soon. It's that whole love something and set it free thing, too. I can read about a certain stone and find it within a few weeks...very lucky about that...but I am also meant to give it away, too, as most people are, for the most part-keep some and use some to heal others. When you don't attach the significance of having the stone to what you are going to do with it the stone comes to you, and then its true purpose is known. I give and receive stones and stones come to me and leave me like water running through my fingers, but I try to love them each while they are with me and not try to possess them as they are earth spirits. My chiastolite called to me from a book, and then jumped out of a mixed bin of stones and is currently helping my rheumatism and nerve problems (see attached pic). It can help to buy more than one stone when you are really attracted to it so you can have some to give away when someone else really loves (or needs) it. ______________________________\ ____ Never miss a thing. Guest guest
I have read that kunzite is really good for panic attacks, along with green tourmaline, turquoise, dumortierite, and rhodonite....I love the way chiastolite feels in my hands-very calming, so I wouldn't doubt that it would work for this as well. It is very good for nightmares when placed under the pillow, too. It is good to have a " touchstone " for anxious people to carry in their pocket-I am sure dealing with anxiety on a daily basis by meditating would help panic the most, or maybe a little rose quartz pocket stone with one of the others might be a nice way to smooth things out. I hope this helps. , " briarwoodpups " <briarwoodpups wrote: > > of a mixed bin > > of stones and is currently helping my rheumatism and > > nerve problems (see attached pic). Guest guest
I do keep mine in my pocket all the time. It has such a slow and ancient vibration that it calms me down. If you have ever read or seen the " Lord of the Rings " , I think that chiastolite is the " Ent " of stones. (Ents are the ancient talking trees in the stories) Lori , " bijoubetty " <bijoubetty wrote: > > I have read that kunzite is really good for panic attacks, along with > green tourmaline, turquoise, dumortierite, and rhodonite....I love the > way chiastolite feels in my hands-very calming, so I wouldn't doubt > that it would work for this as well. My only experiences so far are the strong one with kyanite, a tingling that numbs whatever part of my body is touching tibetan black quartz, and a burst of energy when I tried a carnelian bracelet at work the other day. That was neat because it was time to go home before I realized that I worked straight through the afternoon without some sort of " pick me up " drink like tea, coffee, or soda. And I don't know what it is about the pink petalite, but my dog just went through my whole container of stones, dragged it across the bed, and wouldn't rest till she got ahold of that petalite again. She's very polite about checking each and every stone I handle, and she'll even give them all a welcoming lick, but it's like she needs the petalite. I'm not getting that collar made fast enough, so I think I'll try my first elixir and put some in the dogs' drinking water. From what I read, the petalite should sit in a bowl of water fine. Petunia (the pug) is starting to get the other pugs interested. I notice that someone ran off with my green aventurine (flipped out during the quest for the petalite), but it showed back up in good condition a couple of minutes later I sure hope my stones don't decide to move on their own. They'll have plenty of help from the dogs if they want to make a brief escape. jayne
