Lately it has been an unusually scrappy time. I know that there is a

place for a staunch defense but usually are civil and can avoid

quibbling. I'm calling a halt to our most contentious thread.

Anyone who wishes to donate stones to the person requesting has sent

messages to him off list and the individual can respond and accept or

not off list. I do ask that whatever the thread people do include enough

information in questions and responses that we do not have to spend

extensive time trying to figure out what is being asked. This has been

part of the problem with the aforementioned thread.

 

I think we have addressed stones for grief and consolation several

times in the past and those posts would be in the archives. we can re

approach that subject if you wish. I know that Mercury is now

retrograde and I think there are several other interesting signs

pointing to vigorous and somewhat disconcerting energies and influences

abounding. Perhaps some of those who are more conversant with astrology

can point us to articles that will help us deal with and understand

evolving currents.

 

Judy Halls' " Crystal Bible " is one of the most recommended and can

come in handy as a quick reference for a limited number of stones and

purposes. It is introductory and is mostly an assemblage of

traditional stone purposes from many other sources mostly uncredited

and does not really dip into that vast glory of new information coming

to us from the stones.

I know thats a bit like damning with faint praise, to me its O.K.

but it does not soar with the Eagles or swim with the penguins. My

current favorite book on stone is Teresa Kennedy's' " Gems of Wisdom,

Gems of Power " . Dawn Silvers ' " Jewels of the Lotus: Tibetan Gemstone

Oracle " is also a unique and valuable resource though alas it seems

to be out of print and in much demand, as Prices on Amazon range from 78

to 125 dollars. Dawn is a member here and frequently shares her wisdom

here to our good fortune. " Rock-Medicine: Earth's Healing Stones From A

to Z; A Guide to the Practical Use of Rocks,

Thank you for the plug Peggy.....alas my book is now officially out of print but

I am working on getting a new publisher...my original publisher went out of

business.....what a process but am hopeful. It is freaky to see it being sold

for so much and of course I do not make a penny on those sales. I have even

seen it go for $600 something. Not in my budget. I am working on two other

books involving crystal healing but I am such an intense Virgo it will be a bit

yet.

Certainly you have so much crystal wisdom you might be able to put out a book

in your sleep......any support I can offer I am glad to...I was in the book biz

for 19 years so I know a few things that may prove helpful.
