Healthy Alternative Foods

 

All Refined sugars

Fruits, raisins, dates, sucanat, stevia, xylitol, agave

 

White bread

Herb/veggie/whole wheat tortilla, wheat bread

 

White rice

Brown rice, wheat, triticale, millet, barley, rye

 

Processed meats

Free-range turkey, chicken or cold water ocean fish

 

Processed cheese

Goat cheese, feta, chevre, blue cheese

 

Pasteurized dairy milk

Rice milk, almond milk, soymilk, raw cow or goat milk

 

Juices in bottles or cans

Fresh fruit juice, water with fresh lemon

 

Hydrogenated (trans-fatty) foods such as burgers and French fries

Salads topped with grilled chicken or fish, fresh fruit, cooked or raw vegetables, baked potato with sour cream
