Guest guest
BRAVO! I am so happy to hear someone... else... understands the calling within~ I wasnt sure if I should mention I was a witch here or not, but no matter what faith you are there is a spot for you to still feel connected to what you believe in. Even if you are ecclectic. You are always amungst energy. And as we grow, learn, develop, heal ( ECT.)we have to maintain a balancing for ourselves cause so much of us gets spent thru assisting others. I too engage myself with Moon bathing and/or Sun bathing. ( 30 min time laps ) I have spent sometime assisting friends at my home when they are terrified of what fears them, and they say.. " your property is healing, something about it makes me feel safe. " But then I have to resettle what they have left here. Others have said where I live terrifies them cause the energy here is very strong. And its unknown. I just smile, that they aren't ready. Thing is my Piaute land is loaded with quartz, amethyst and obsidian crystals every few feet. I literally live in the dirt. Of course a house but the land is raw and untamed. And neighbors around me have encountered the mysterious here. Saying this is exactly why they moved here, its the spirt of the land. A respect is built for what it contains. If you do not live in an area that is serene and powerful, go high.. travel to the a sacred spot that appeals to you and walk. I personally do this barefooted. But just tap to the seed of life and hear it speak. You may have to hear yourself speak first outloud to get it going but it will come if you are open to its way. Put you feet in a creek bed.. and listen to the water trickle down over the rocks. Be in the moment, pick up stones you see in the creek and you will be able to hear from other sources like your stone spirits. * wink Or buy c.ds that have nature sounds to them or a babbeling brook, reiki healing, tribal drums or flutes, something that appeals to you and lye on the floor and start to meditate to tap to the inner you for sancuary peace. ( i get into the rainbox/shower,before I start or after you meditate to rise the ick off of ) Id be curious what others have seen with their exploration. And hey carry your mojo bags with your crystal spirits on your travels with you. They might like going on vacation with you too. When I go hiking I take my music along with me (instrumental " new age " sort of music, very calming, relaxing and serene.) I love to sit while listening to my music and watch nature synch to it. A big wind gust as a crescendo peaks, a leaf blowing in the breeze in time with the music, a bird (or birds) " dancing " by in their flight to wherever - their movements also in time with the music. It really is quite spectacular and breath-taking (flames be it candles or camp fire will also dance to the music that is playing). Your place sounds lovely and magickal. The reaction folks have to it, sounds very similar to those people have when they visit our meditation room ..... but mostly on the calming side. I have not had anyone say the energies affect them in anything but a positive manner. The room is full of crystals, a large copper grid attached to the ceiling with crystals hanging down from it and spiritual figurines and elemental/spiritual artwork hanging on the walls. ....oh and one can't forget the plants that stay in there year-round and the dragon fountain that was a gift from my daughter and husband quite a few years back. She actually managed to sneak it into the house during her Yule/Christmas visit when she came home from college (Boston U) that year. She had found it somewhere up in Boston. But I digress. The woods, forest, being out in nature are my churches, temples, sacred spaces. When I want to meditate in nature, I must have the elements present: Earth is the easiest of all of them ... lol Fire (a nice sunny day), Air a good breeze blowing that day) and water (creek, river, stream or lake), even before the witch woke back up in me as an adult, I always needed all these things when I was out hiking. Back then I didn't understand why but now I do. To be able to sit with nature and be a part of her, feet being washed over by the gentle flow of the creek water, the sun kissing your face and the breeze caressing your hair and skin .... add a tall old tree to lean your back against and a huge rock to be your seat ....... there really is nothing that can compare to this. So calming and soothing and helps in drawing out energies you don't want. To add to Faeriespirit's post, If you don't have an easily accessible place to hike in nature (within an hour or so drive time to me is accessible) then you should try bringing the outside in. I have quite a number of houseplants that help tremendously with their energies during the winter months. I just moved the ones from my bedroom to the front porch on Memorial Day. They have actually been crying at me since mid-April that they wanted to go outside on the porch. We can still have freeze and frost warnings into mid-May here in SW PA. So I couldn't oblige them until end of May. My bedroom now feels a bit " empty " without the plants in it. It is not difficult at all to make sacred space in your own home. Some plants, some crystals, an altar of some form, candles, ambient music and incense .... and the intent that " this space is sacred " ... a little corner in a room, a closet (if one must keep things out of view/reach), a dresser top .... wherever it works for you. If you actually have a yard, plant a garden and actually play and dig in the dirt with your bare hand. Of course there are times when the use of gloves is necessary (like for tending to my rose bushes and the holly bush ... lol) but if I don't need to wear the gloves to protect from injuries, I use my bare hands to connect and feel more. Blessings to your day all. ReNau " Codail, suaimhnigh i nge/aga nadragain " " Sleep, rest in the arms of the Dragon "
