Guest guest
As I look through various crystal dealers and Ebay, I keep seeing quartz that has been cut and polished into various shapes - usually generators or DT. While I have a number of tumbled stone like lapiz, obsidians, aventurine, and such, my quartz so far is natural. Given the same shape, size, and color of crystal, what is the generally accepted difference between, say, a natural single-terminated Dow and a cut/polished single-terminated Dow? Tumbled/cut/polished quartz has never appealed to me, but I'm curious to know from those more experienced in the ways of crystals than I. Many thanks - Keri

The best tool one can use for selecting crystals is your own intuition. Is the polished crystal calling to you that it must come home with you? Do you feel only " natural " crystals have good energies? When you think about it, as soon as a crystal is removed from Mother Earth, " man " has already started altering it's energies, as it is no longer truly in it's " natural state " . Many people use spheres as a healing tool (in some fashion) and find them to be a very energetic crystal form BUT you will never find a crystal that occurs " naturally " in a perfect sphere form. So, bottom line .... use what feels right to you for the situation you are selecting the crystal for. Blessings to your day all.
