The Graphites Type: The Graphites type (Black lead-plumbago) likes savory foods, such as salads or vegetables, rather than candies and desserts. Appearance: Prone to being overweight and has a large appetite. Blushes easily; can have a rugged, windswept appearance; may have rough, dry skin that can crack and flake easily; dry hair, usually dark in color; flaky scalp. Mental and emotional aspects: A plodder--takes time to work things out and solve problems. Deep concentration on a task can cause irritability. Unwilling to change attitudes and routines; not best first thing in the morning; prone to mood swings; can become fearful and despondent and then impatient. Physical weaknesses: Skin; nails; slow metabolic rate; common aliments may include soreness in the corners of the mouth, exhaustion, bad breath, nose bleeds, sty´s, and travel sickness. Dietary factors: Likes sour and savory foods, cool drinks; dislikes sweet foods, salt, seafood and hot drinks. The Calcarea Carbonica Child: Feels the cold and gets chilled very quickly. Timid, hesitant, and anxious; does not like long periods of travel, as often suffers from travel sickness.
