If you reread Bobbie Eastman's post, she did not tell the person they gave themselves cancer. You are reading something that is simply not there. It is also your belief that meat is unhealthy, and I respect your right to believe that. However, that is your opinion based on what you have read and believe. I do not agree with you, and I am not in denial. I just believe differently than you, so please respect that and do not pass judgment nor try to force your beliefs on me or anyone else who believes diffently than you. And the haughty attitude is uncalled for, inappropriate and quite un-adult-like.
Guest guest
I respect each person's choice to make health decisions. In my original post I merely stated that the slant of the article made it sound like beef was the root of the problem when it really wasn't. I feel that there are many things in our world that can lead to toxins entering our bodies. After a college nutrition class last year I have a better understanding of my diet. In America today, people eat an average of two to three times their protein serving. In light of this, I have tried to watch my servigin size very carefully. I have a strict philosophy of everything in moderation. Too much of anything probably isn't that healthy. If a person chooses to be vegan I applaud their effort to eat healthy. I choose not to be vegan I am making a choice based on my personal circumstances and information that I feel strongly about. As a society we are constantly bombarded by health information. Many times during the experimentation phase the doses might be extremely high which results in some foods being labeled as bad for us. This year a certain food is bad for us, next week it will be something different. To me the only thing I can count on that isn't healthy is a food that doesn't occur naturally. White bread is bad for you because of the bleaching process, that is why they have to add back in all those nutrients. Just because something is labeled low fat doesn't mean it is good for you because it may contain tons of carbohydrates or a chemical that isn't helpful to your body. Aren't we lucky that we live in a society that allows us freedom of information and freedom of choice. Just remember that news stories are usually release to cause some spark of a sensation. Be practical and be wise.
