Guest guest
Urinary Tract SupportBladder infection (cystitis) is a common, annoying problem, especially among women, whose urinary anatomy makes them more vulnerable than men. Common causes and aggravating factors of cystitis include coffee and other forms of caffeine, cigarette and alcohol use, dehydration, excessively frequent or traumatic sex, stress, and poor hygiene (such as wiping from back to front instead of front to back). To end recurrent cystitis, try the following: Eliminate bladder irritants from your life by increasing your intake of water so that you urinate more frequently. Eat or drink more cranberries. Cranberries contain a substance that makes it difficult for bacteria to adhere to the wall of the bladder. Drink eight to 16 ounces of unsweetened cranberry juice a day, or try 500 mg daily of cranberry extract (the Urinary Tract Support in my Vitamin Advisor provides 500 mg of cranberry extract). Don't hold on to urine when you feel the urge to urinate. Consume probiotic foods, such as yogurt. Try to neutralize the causes of stress which can affect your urinary system. I have an awful time with cranberry juice and heartburn. The benefits from the juice are awesome as far as urinary tract infections etc. But the heartburn is killing me lol......Any advice? Guest guest
well, it might actually be best for you to take it in pill form, if you are getting heartburn. It is very hard to get pure natural cranberry juice, since it's usually watered down, and sugar is most often added. Try taking it in pill form. And how about buying the cranberries and drying them in the oven? You could add them to your granola! , " mistynights234 " <mistynights234> wrote: > > Wondering if anyone can answer this......is there a diff. in > drinking cranberry juice and taking it by pill form? Guest guest
You can also take a bag of cranberries...add them to 6 cups of water and then boil them until the berries pop. When the berries are all popped, put them through a sieve to get all the juice..discard the pulp. I do this all the time to get un-sweetened cranberry juice. Its a lot cheaper this way than buying it at a health food store.
