May Flowers for your delight with receipes & helpsHope you all enjoy these special May suggestions--MaryFor her carIf the mother in your life doesn't have time to " stop and smell the flowers "

perhaps one of our car diffusers might lighten her day. We are offeringboth our little " car scenter " diffuser to plug in, and our hanging clay pots tohang from her rear view mirror. Again, both are on sale only on the Special

Page.Suggested Blends: In keeping with our " May Flowers " theme this month, I'vedecided to share the formulas for the scent blends in our Mille Fleur andJoyful Abandon soaps:Mille Fleur (1000 flowers)

* Bulgarian Lavender 8 parts * Geranium 2 parts * Rosewood 1 part * Roman Chamomile 1 part * (I normally add both Mimosa Wax and Rose Wax to the soap, to further

enrich the scent, so perhaps adding just a touch of Cassie Absolute and RoseAbsolute would bring it closer to the original.)Joyful Abandon * YlangYlang One 4 parts * Indian Vetiver 2 parts

* Cinnamon Leaf 1 part * Ambrette Seed 1 partThat should be enough perfumery to keep us all experimenting for awhile! Our Clients and Friends share their blends:Margie Curtiss recently wrote:

I accidentally stumbled on something that smells absolutely wonderful and isemotionally healing at the same time!My 13 year old daughter can be quite grumpy around her monthly cycle. WhenI received my latest order I was looking to make up a blend to help

her...well, I found it! It may not have been the best cramp formula, but her emotionshave calmed considerably with the use of this blend. Marissa has never beenthis pleasant in the mornings. I am in awe, truly!

5 drops clary sage2 drops jasmine sambac4 drops geranium8 drops lavender2 drops fennel3 drops vanilla bourbon2 drops violet leaf6 drops ylang ylangBlended in 15ml of the fractionated coconut oil,

I rubbed it on her abdomen and chest. This is a beautiful scented blend, I am rubbing it on myself and can't stopsmelling my arms! It seems to hold together for several hours too, so itworksas a perfume.

You simply must try this!My comment - Margie, thanks so much for sharing. This blend sounds just abit strong for topical use in only 1/2 ounce of carrier. I suspect that itwould be equally effective in one or two ounces of carrier. Aromatically, it

sounds delightful!Another client, who asked to remain anonymous, shared her favorite " child'splay " synergy. Since two out of the three oils are on sale this month, thisis definitely the time to try it.

Child's Play3 Mandarine Red4 Ylang- Ylang Complete3 Lavender MailetteAnd John Kerr, editor of Aromatherapy Today magazine, shared three blendsbased on Ylangylang. I loved them all!The first is a very simple ROMANCE blend:

equal parts Sandalwood, Ylangylang and sweet orange.the second is an oily skin blend:Pink grapefruit, Steam distilled lime, ylangylang in equal parts. (note, because the pink grapefruit is a mild photosensitizer, I would avoid using

this when exposing the face to sunlight or ultra violet light.and the third is a diffuser, bath or massage blend, designed for emotionalbalance and calming.2 parts each.. ylangylang, bergamot, sweet orange and 1 part vetiver.

(I have tried this last one, using our Ylangylang Complete, Bergamot FCF,Blood Orange and El Salvador Vetiver. All I can say is I wish I had thought ofit first!)-- Diana Gonzalez

Nothing wastes more energy than worrying - the longer a problem is carried, the heavier it gets. Don't take things too seriously - live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets.
