Guest guest Posted November 22, 2005 Report Share Posted November 22, 2005 FROTHY HOT VANILLA MALTED5 cups milk3/4 cup malted milk powder1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar2 teaspoons vanilla1/4 cup light rum (optional)Freshly grated nutmegBring milk to a simmer in a 4-quart heavy saucepan and transfer 1 cup toa blender. Add malted milk powder and brown sugar to remaininghot milk, whisking until dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in vanillaand rum (if using). Blend milk in blender at high speed until foamy,about 1 minute. Divide malted milk among 4 mugs, then top with foamymilk andsprinkle with nutmeg.
