Guest guest
A recent post today talked of the benefits that South America users have long spoken of in helping balance glucose levels. I can verify this benefit from personal experience. Unfortunately, the benefit only occurs when the stevia matter is used in its whole form - nonextracted for the sweet steviosides. In extracted form, which I much prefer for taste, this benefit is lost. Of course, not having a huge glucose burst from sugar does help in and of itself, but there isn't an inherent balancing property to the extracted steviosides - only to the whole leaf matter. I do use powdered stevia leaves - greenish substance, in certain teas after I have a higher than normal (for me) carbohydrate meal. I do find this effective.
