mercury (Hg) concentration was 22,000 times. . .higher than in

controls. This significant increase in trace elements may affect

mitochondrial activity and myocardial metabolism and worsen

cellular function. " Their comment: " This article has significant impl

ications and gives the therapeutic rationale for chelation therapy

in patients with IDCM. . . " The study was done at the Dept. of

Cardiology, Catholic Univ., .

It also implies the importance of eliminating the use of mercury in dental care.
