Autoimmune hepatitis - advice urgently needed!

A friend wrote to me asking urgently for help. I don't know enough

about her health problem and so I ask this group. Maybe somebody can

give a helpful advice: (Which I will forward to her...)

 

" I was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis (cirrhosis, stage 3). I am

still searching for the cause of this, and have been seeing an

acupuncturist and have spoken with a healer also. I have several

guesses as to what could have caused this, but do not know where or how

to narrow down the causes. My medical doctors are not concerned with

the cause - and said that it was just " bad luck " that I have this

condition.

 

My medical doctors want for me to go on a program of 50mg of prednisone

per day, and also immurane, which is an immune suppressant. He said

that I would have to stay on the immurane for the rest of my life.

 

My doctor told me that I needed to go on this program, or my liver

would start to deteriorate at a faster rate. He basically told me that

this was my only option. "
