Guest guest
Hi Bernie, To reconstruct something, you have to use the same building blocks as the original. You will need to read up on how Myelin is constructed. That means the whole process. What nutrients and cofactors are needed in each step ot the process. These will then have to be taken in large enough quantities beyond what the normal life's processes need on a daily basis to live, so there must liberal quantities left over for the repair. All of the vitamins act synergystically, so that means very good diet and supplements. Some extra needs for myelin come to mind like thiamin, omega 3 oils, vitamin E and C for repair, and quite a few others, but don't hold me to it. but these need to be accompanied with all the nutrients. Search the links on our links page and also do a search on myelin in our archives. It can be repaired. regards, Frank , " bernie1062 " <bernie1062> wrote: > A 5 year old boy recently had viral meningitis (this past summer). Guest guest
Bernie, I suggest a diet low in saturated fats, high in EFA’s (fish, nuts, seeds). Massage could be helpful. Avoid excessive stress, fatigue and temperature changes. Build up his immune system with Echinacea and Vitamin C with bioflavanoids and supplement with a fish oil capsules which are excellent for helping with regeneration of the myelin sheath (salmon or tuna) - there are child strength formulas on the market in your local Health Food Store. As depending on his needs he may need to see a Naturopath or Herbalist to find out whether he needs to use pain management, specialised treatment on his immune system and also herbs to help clean our his liver so he can eliminate any toxins or poison from the meningitis. Also suggestive of vitamin E capsules broken open and applied to the areas that have been damaged (check with your paediatrition first to see whether he is still undertaking treatment of tissue grafting and physiotherapy). I found this fomulae from another list I am on that may do him some good if you could get hold of the herbs and make it in a tea form: Nerve Regeneration Formula as formulated by Dr. Richard Schulze 4 parts Skullcap Herb 4 parts Oat Seed 2 parts St. John’s Wort Flower 1 part Celery Seed 1 part Lavender 1 part Coffee Bean 1 part Kola Nut 1 part Ephedra (Optional) place in a saucepan and boil for 15 minutes, strain and give the child (using this rule of one cup = adult dose) weigh the child and divide this over 150 = this will give you the dosage of what to give your child three times per day. I hope I have been of some assistance Wendy (Australia) A 5 year old boy recently had viral meningitis (this past summer). He arm is paralyzied due to loss of myelin sheath in the nerves from the arm to the spine. Anyone have any good ideas on how to treat?? ===== “ Treat the Cause, not just the symptoms…..
