Guest guest
Kelly, Fava beans are a little bit sweet, very chewey, and taste a lot like chestnuts. They look like giant lima beans on steroids. Once you start eating them, they sort of grow on you...especially when you start noticing results...more energy, less pain, stronger fingernails, thicker hair, and smoother skin! And then you know your cells inside the body are also being repaired! windflower Kelly Wortkoetter <kellykebby wrote: What do fava beans taste like? I am afraid. Guest guest
Hi Kelly I just soak them overnight, (I put a handfull in a quart jar, about enough for 3 days) Soaking them brings them to life, and then you reap the benefits of all those enzymes and nutrients the fava bean has to offer. I had thought about putting them in a food processor, with maybe some salad dressing for flavor, (like hummus) and spreading on a cracker or something to that effect, but you would have to make small bnatches, no more than a days worth, because once blenderized, the bean would esentially " die " , and without preservatives (which I would not use anyway) would not keep long. I chop them up on a salad, or in soup (at the temperature you eat soup, it is not boiling, so nutrients stay pretty much intact) I've eaten them with horseradish sauce, barbecue sauce, and drizzled butter. Plain is the easiest and simplest way. Have you found some fava beans and started eating them? I'd love to hear your results! Of all the people who have tried them, I have not heard of any negative results. jan Kelly Wortkoetter <kellykebby wrote: Cool, are there any special ways you like to prepare them? sorry if i missed them.
