Until a little over a years ago, I had never heard of message boards. A friend

told me about a local one and I joined. I loved checking my email every day

and hearing about everyones lives. Then, I joined another one, and another

one, etc. I love visiting with people all over the world. When I joined the

first one, it asked me to fill out a profile and, like a good little girl, I

filled it out. Later, when a new person joined our group, I decided I would

check out their profile. Surprise, surprise, they hadn't filled it out. I

don't know what the purpose of the profile is if no one wants to fill it out.

It's just a tool to help people get to know you better. If you are ashamed of

your age, you don't have to put that in. If you don't want to put a picture

in, that's fine, I don't have a picture in mine. If you don't want to put your

town in, fine, put your state in. If all you put in is your state, your first

name, and your hobbies, NO ONE is going

to be able to locate you, if that is what you are worried about. Anyway, I

just wanted to get this off my chest. Fill it out or don't fill it out, but

don't read my profile if you aren't willing to fill out your own. I know, I

know, I can't stop you from reading mine!!! Go ahead. So you know more about

me than I know about you. Guess it doesn't matter,

anyway........................................jb

Judy,

I can appreciate that you like reading profiles. I find them interesting to

read too some times. Yet on the flip side, the more info you publicly

release to netizens, the easier it is to track you if anyone decided to take

a real interest in you. I deal withy cyberstalking and harassment cases as

well as others, and blank profiles are the way to go .. tho I agree, not

much fun to read.

best regards,

Lisa
