Guest guest
Hello friends, For about 3-4 years, I loved to wear colorful clothes such as green, blue, orange etc. and I hated black, gray etc. and rarely wore them. But for about 4 months or so, I cannot wear them. I prefer black, gray, brown, sometimes white, but thats all. What can be the reason for that change? Is it because my aura or chakras need those colors or what? Thanks for your answers. With love, Sally
Guest guest
Sally, Mother Nature is trying to tell you something. Do you have a place where you can be alone and among trees? You might try to meditate with Her to find out the why of this change. Guest guest
For years and years I never cared for the color purple. Not any shade of it. Then one day I was in a local jewelry store and saw a ring that had emerald and amethyst stones. I was soooo drawn to it, but I was also put off by it!! Purple! Yet, somehow, the purple kept drawing me. I'd go every day to visit that ring because I couldn't make up my mind. One day I d love the ring and the next day I didn't like it at all! Finally, after about a week of this I just went ahead and bought the ring--happened to be on one of the like days lol . Anyway, a year or so later I was talking to a psychic and mentioned my past feelings about this ring, and that I loved it now. She said " oh, that's because you were changing. Purple means responsibility and self assurance. Before you use to always have to ask someone what you should do or to help you make a decision, and now you don't do that anymore. You KNOW what is best for you. You were looking at that ring at a time when your inner self was changing to be the person you are now--one who decides for herself and doesn't NEED to ask anyone for advice. That's why you were so ambivalent about those colors then and now you love those colors. " I was pretty surprised by what she said because it was all true. I use to be exactly the way she had described, and within that year had changed and matured into someone who had confidence in herself--finally. So, perhaps you are changing inside somehow. Guest guest
Sally, Examine what has changed in your life from the time you enjoyed brighter colors to the time that you now enjoy these colors. Also....what do these various colors mean to you? When you see white, gray, black, or tan, what do they mean to you? Converesely, when you see the brighter colors of green, blue, orange, etc., what do those mean to you? Sometimes we like neutral colors during times of change. IE a growth spurt or time of healing. Other times, the colors can be indicative of an unhappiness we have with ourselves or our life, or something we are doing. Still other times, it is us finally being at peace with who we are, and not needing/wanting flashy colors, prefering our " flash " to come from within. Each person is different. Search within for the answers you seek. Blessings, Karen , Dee Harris <corbywolf13 wrote: > > Sally, > Mother Nature is trying to tell you something. Guest guest
Could it be because you wear black or grey may be you do not want to be noticed anymore! As far as I know these colors represents those feelings but again I might be wrong too. Best. Serap
Guest guest
Hi Sally, I believe that the body always knows what it needs, and we're naturally drawn to those things. When we're thirsty, we drink... hungry, we eat. Sometimes, we suddenly crave a food that we used to hate because it has something that our body needs. Colors are the same way; we're often drawn to the colors that we need the most. Perhaps you're drawn to wear neutrals now because your system is being bombarded with an abundance of energy - from certain situations, certain people. Or you're entering a time of internalizing, meditating, transforming and contemplating. Remember that black absorbs all colors and white reflects all colors. Black is quiet, knowledge and mystery. White is purity, freedom and cleanliness. Brown is very grounding and earth oriented. It makes you feel safe and secure. Grey is often considered an intellectual color - it's related to balance and mental energy. It also calms and is truly " neutral. " It definitely sounds like your energies are shifting. Go with it and learn how these new colors affect you and how you feel when you're with them. There are no bad colors! I'm sure your colorful things will return eventually! ~Regina , " sallyjoe21 " <sallyjoe21 wrote: > > Hello friends, > > For about 3-4 years, I loved to wear colorful clothes such as green, > blue, orange etc. and I hated black, gray etc. and rarely wore them. > > But for about 4 months or so, I cannot wear them. Guest guest
I'm so happy I joined this group:O) I never thought about color as a healing way. I for somereason also like to wear black, red, dark colors. I don't feel comfortable in anything very light especially white, pink and yellow. Does anyone know of any good books I can get from the library on this topic? Thank you! Melody Schafer melored - lisasadiemorgan Tuesday, December 05, 2006 11:05 AM Re: Re: colorful things!!! Guest guest
There's a great little book by Ted Andrews called: " How to Heal With Color. " It covers many different ways you can use color for healing - it's a great reference! There's another one that's useful, but a little hard to read - kind of dry. But the information is very good: " Color Therapy: Healing with Color " by R.B. Amber. Do a quick search on Amazon.com (or a similar website) for " color healing " or " color therapy " and you'll find lots of titles! Color is an amazing healing modality! You'll have fun! ~Regina , " Melody At Home " <melored wrote: > > I'm so happy I joined this group:O) I never thought about color as a healing way. Guest guest
I really enjoyed " Colour me Beautiful " , can't remember the author. I went to the workshop as a favor to a friend, and it is one of the best things I ever did for myself.
Guest guest
What does it mean when you always wear brown, black, grey and navy? I love colors on my kids but feel strange wearing them myself? It could be that fashion has dictated our choices lately. The last few years most offers have been neutral, with the exception of imported handcrafted stuff. BORING! But maybe it is a reaction to the frenzied lifestyle so many of you have.
