Guest guest
Hi: Just a story here...my doctor's son breaks out in hives when he eats hot dogs. Her mother took him to the zoo and buys him a hot dog. He breaks out in severe hives. My doctor tells her 'don't feed him hot dogs', 'but he wanted one' says the mother. I asked her if she could do anything about this allergy, she said no....just stay away from the foods that you know give you problems. At least that one was easy to figure out. Citrus is known to contain high levels of sulfur which increase levels of histamine in the body. Excess histamine can cause all sorts of problems, and hives is one of them. Best course of action is avoid food high in histamine. You are lucky that the connection between the citrus and hives were made so quickly, for some people it takes 2-3 days before symptoms occur, thus making it harder to find the cause...lots of stuff online, educate yourself. -- In , " spunky1ntx " <littleaggie wrote: > > Any suggestions to help someone who has allergies to citrus foods?
