Guest guest
I am hoping someone can help me. My husband went to the doctor because he had an extremely itchy spot on his leg. The doctor told him it was a virus skin infection and gave him a prescription for a topical corticosteroid cream. That was about 3 months ago and the cream just isn't working - its as itchy as ever and shows no sign of going away. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Guest guest
There is something called Sween cream - Antifungal with 2% Miconazole Nitrate in a Moisture Barrier Cream. While the doctor says it is viral - this cream still may help and it also contains a moisture barrier. This should be available over the counter at your local good neighbor pharmacy or other local pharmacies. Also, I know this will sound crazy (and I do not sell Mary Kay) but I use Mary Kay's Extra Emollient Night Cream on my diabetic shin spots to keep them extra moisturized and itch free. Hope one of these may be helpful to you. Sincerely, Olivia Glenda <GlendaMckee wrote: I am hoping someone can help me. My husband went to the doctor because he had an extremely itchy spot on his leg. Guest guest
Wouldn't hurt to try putting castor oil on it. That has helped us with more than one weird skin problem. I couldn't believe how well it worked. Guest guest
Thankyou Olivia . I will look for this Sween Cream and also see about Mary Kay. I know someone in our area sells Mary Kay because I see the bumper stickers on cars occassionally ... I do appreciate your help so much. Guest guest
Thankyou very much Judy. I seen organic apple cider today in the health shop -I will go back Monday and buy some for him. This sounds like an easy solution for him ... - " Judy " <catsjudy Saturday, December 02, 2006 12:23 PM Re: Help with a Virus skin infection Glenda - buy organic apple cider vinegar at any health food store and have your husband sponge the area with it twice a day. I believe that will stop the itching and dry up the infection. Guest guest
I have heard castor oil is great for so many things - we will try this as well. I've received some great help from this group and I think he will try each one for a week or so and see which works best for him .He will be so relieved to get rid of that itchy infection. Thankyou so much Glenda - " jmr1290 " <jomarex Saturday, December 02, 2006 12:23 PM Re: Help with a Virus skin infection Wouldn't hurt to try putting castor oil on it. Guest guest
You could also try Colloidal Silver and spray onto the skin. It is fabulous for destroying viruses in and out of the body.
