Guest guest
Any good ideas on how to treat a minor gum irritation? Usually mine are in good health, but one tooth was sore as I flossed. When I looked it was red and swollen. I have tried treating it with hydrogen peroxide, a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda, but it doesn't seem to help. Just fizzes up and gets white. I guess I disinfected it well. Any other remedies in treating gingivitis? Thanks in advance, Di
Guest guest
Salt water could help as well, and I would also check the area to be certain there wasn't a piece of food or something lodged in there. If it doesn't go away in a few days or continues to worsen, I would consult with your dentist to see if it is a sign of a larger infection and/or something serious that might require antibiotics.
