REFERRALS NEEDED FOR INTERVIEWS BY METRO NEWSPAPER A large metropolitan newspaper is preparing a feature on young adults once labeled as ADD/ADHD. Research shows the " vast preponderance " have left their drugs behind. Reasons, methods and results vary. The writer wants to interview: " reasonable, articulate young people in the 18-30 age group, roughly " who have left their meds behind. The piece will explore: " why so many turn their backs on drugs that many have taken since they were very young. " This is an excellent opportunity to widely publicize facts and individual case histories that are seldom publicized. If you have worked with or know any young adults who fall into the categories needed, please contact Jon von Gunten at grid. Please include the person's name and contact information, and some background data on previous problems, treatment methodology, and current conditions. Let us know if we may contact the person immediately, or if you should contact the person first. Thank you for your help with this important article. SAFE HARBOR 787 W. Guest guest
Elsy, The call was for young people who are not taking ritalin or similar prescriptions for ADD anymore. Quite frankly, I think the only reason marihuana is illegal is because the Mafia has too much influence in government. This is an amazing plant with medicinal, nutritional, and industrial potential. If it were legal to have a few plants in your backyard it would be dirt cheap and not worth marketing illegally. There would also be no need to make it as insanely strong as I am told it is these days. For the record: I do NOT smoke it. It makes me want to eat and sleep, two activities at which I excell without the slightest help. Yes, I did inhale some back in the early seventies.
