Guest guest
I have to tell you that I have had extremely bad hypoglycemia for at least the last 9 years...to the point that no matter what I ate or did some days I would just have fits like crazy especially around my menstrual time. It affected me every single day without stopping. About 7 months ago I did a total body cleanse (bowel, liver, and kidney) and I have never had a problem with it since! Even if I have days where I have to go hours without eating because we are gone somewhere I feel no effects at all. I used to have to eat every 2 hours or i'd be done. I have not had one sugar fit, nor felt anything like that come on or even start--not even once. If you have a bit of time and some dedication I would recommend definately doing a body cleanse--it had changed my life tremendously!!! Guest guest
I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia 35 years ago at the Loveless Clinic in New Mexico and my doctors advice worked for me. He told me to start cutting back on sugar very slowly until I did not use any at all. He said carbonated drinks are mostly sugar and to stop drinking those. I was a sugar freak but I did start to reduce the sugar consumed. He said if I got the shakes to drink a glass of orange juice with 1/2 sugar to bring me out of it. It works. Otherwise continue to reduce sugar consumption. I got to the point that I formed a dislike for sugary foods. I have not had any problems since I followed this advice. I also take 200 mcg of chromium picolinate daily to balance the blood sugar. I am 69 years old now and in good health. I still do not have a craving for sugar and dislike sweet food or drinks. I do not like sugar substitutes and believe that they are just as detrimental as sugar and probably even more so. I really hope that this will help you too, Peace on earth, Thyme
Guest guest
What wonderful advice. What types of foods are you eating that are not boring that helps you stay away from the sugar. What type of drinks are you enjoying also that do not contain sugar substitutes. How did you manage the sugar withdraws. I know it is alot of questions however what you did is something I want to start doing. Sweets are my pitfall. So any advice would be greatly apprieated. I know that sugar is so bad for you. Not only for the diabetes but it lowers your immune system. Thanks RSchl44964 wrote: I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia 35 years ago at the Loveless Clinic in New Mexico and my doctors advice worked for me. Guest guest
There a tons out there...I did an herbal cleanse with tinctures and teas and a strict diet (no meat or dairy)...I did first the bowel cleanse for a week, then the bowel detox for a week, then the liver detox for a week and the kidney for a week. I then realized my severe addiction to chocolate and that I would have to totally give that up because it's either none or all for me. I also decided to give up coffee--two of the things containing caffeine and are not good at all for keeping a healthy alkaline body. I also continued eating all organic, mostly fruits, veggies and grains with a small amount of meat every so often but definately very limited dairy (another thing of which is absolutely hard for your body to handle)...I have since had not once incident or even twinge of my low blood sugar and I feel better than i've felt in a long time. I am trying to do a total body cleanse every 3 months or so for the first 2 years or so as your body structure can completely rebuild within that time frame. There are many types of total body cleanses, they even make herbal ones in caplet form where you take pills in the am and pm--most are about a month long and you may have days during of which you don't feel that great but in the end you definately come out cleaner and feeling it. You also have to be very commited to a new lifestyle--my mother for instance has bad hypoglycemia also but is not dedicated enough to take time out each day for a cleanse nor to change the bad eating habits for good so it would do her no good...I will tell you from experience that it's a change and it's tough as change always is but it's well worth it!
