Guest guest
asked: <I take omega 3, 6 and 9 supplements in the form of Flaxseed oil. Most recommendations I see say to take them in the form of fish oil. Is there a difference?> Good question, and the answer is yes, there is a difference. I don't have the chemical details at my fingertips, but it boils down to this: Your body has to convert flax oil into a more usuable form, while fish oil is ready to go. The more depleted your system is, the more that difference will count. For a healthy person the flax oil may do the trick. A totally depleted person may need the instant bio-availability of fish oil. It is kind of ironic that the world is waking up to the importance of fish oil just as the supply of clean wild fish is dwindling. Another way to get those all-important EFAs is through edible micro-algae. Fish oil = concentrated algae oil. Guest guest
Thanx for the reply. And it makes sense because when I get quantum healing done through a SCIO machine it mentioned over and over how I am not digesting fats/oils and need efas. YET I take 6000 g of flax oil a day!! I am doing mostly organic and almost all fresh foods and still having assimilation/digestion probs. But overall my health is getting better and better this year.
