Guest guest
I am 26 years old. I fell last year and broke my ankle. A few months later they tried a surgery to repair the damage, but it was to late. I am able to use the ankle, but there is no cartilage in the ankle. So it is bone on bone, and very, very painful. At this point I choose not to do anything to repair it, my options are horrible. I am overweight and I am trying to find some exercises that won't hurt my ankle. Even yoga has been difficult any suggestions will be great. Please help!!!! Jennifer
Guest guest
Re: Exercise Options Hi Jennifer, Try exercises in a pool at home or at a 'Y 'or health club. Losing weight would be helpful. A chi kung master could help solve this problem. There are many in the USA. And then find a better Dr. who can help you if you still need it. The mind is more powerful then the body. Try meditations on the ankle. Look at the good one;then visualize the one that you injured becoming just like the good one. Keep your weight off it for now or it will not heal. See if magnets in your shoes or on your ankles will help. See: Niken magnets available in e-bay and elsewhere. Do a search on magnet therapies. Guest guest
I suggest you some upper body exercises, example sitting on rotating chair, swinging your arms and twisting your body. It's also important that you cut down on your food intake. Good luck, semb http://99health.blogspot.com/ , " Jennifer " <jenniferharthoop2002 wrote: > > I am 26 years old. Guest guest
Swimming is an excellent excersize source. It is good for cardio and non-stress exercising. It's good for back and strengthening. I had an orthopedic dr tell me years ago that if I was going to exercise this was the best way. It is good in that it takes the stress off the joints with the boyancy of the water and you work harder because of the resistance from the water. I recommend to my clients excersize that breaks a sweat of 30 minutes minimum no less than 3 times per week.
