Guest guest
Good Morning! Yes boys and girls it's that oh so wonderful time of year again when we make those nasty resolutions to lose weight. I'm doing this for personal reasons and it just happened to fall at this time of year. I've dropped about three pounds as of last Saturday so far. *yeah!* I have an on going problem though. My motivation is high. I'm not snacking between meals and I'm not eating after my supper. I'm also up to six cups of water a day with a peppermint essential oil in it. So here's my problem. I start to feel the wonderful effects of losing some pounds...my rings and watch are loose and I have a wee bit more of energy starting. My spirits are high and I'm on the road to losing my weight. BUT....I notice these things and then within a few hours to a day later I am pigging out on some God forbidden goodie and in my glory doing it. *sigh* Sooo....I know I am into self sabotage and I don't know why I'm doing it and I want to stop! I am doing the positive self talk but just started three days ago concerning this issue. I started a new job so that is going to be my exercise program for now. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I am sure I'm not in this boat alone. Have a wonderful day! Always ~ Kim
Guest guest
Yes ladles and jellyspoons; I too am doing it (or not doing it right now) When the craving comes eat as much celery with salsa as you want. Gorge on it to your hearts delight. If that's not enough, have more. It will help with feeling full, the crunch is very satisfying, and if you do it each time, you will develop looking forward to it if needed (you know it will pass the craving) and low and behold, soon the other cravings subside. If you don't like that stuff, try almost any other raw vegetable, I especially like broccoli, or a spinach salad topped with salsa. Also, having cheated, force an extra few miles walking in. My other theory is what gets in the cart gets in your house, what gets in your house gets in your mouth, and what gets in your mouth lands on your . . . . (fill in your vulnerable fat area) This is profound, yes? Watch the shopping. If it's not in the house, you will make another choice. Good luck, and congrats on the 3# so far, that's a lot in a week. I'm hoping for 1-2 per week. Linda
Guest guest
There are many free weight loss support groups you can join on . I have no idea how good they are, but it might be worth a few moments searching to see if one " fits " you. EFT can work wonders for sticking to a diet. Keeping healthy snacks around, and drinking lots of water during the day will help a lot. The PH miracle weight loss book says that drinking alkalizing water, one quart for every 30 pounds of body weight, a day will help you loose a LOT of weight--around a pound a day. To alkalize water start with a quart of good distilled water, add one teaspoon any green powder mix (there are lots to choose from in your health food store--get one without yeasts and with as many of the grasses as you can, such as barley grass, wheat grass, etc, plus a good mix of powdered veggies) and then add 6 drops of a ph drop. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find the ph drops in my local health food stores. The book says you can add plain baking soda to the water instead (all this is to raise the ph of the water) but you have to add a lot of the baking soda, and I don't want to do that. But I think that adding a little bit of real sea salt, and the green powder to the water, and if you drank that much water a day, then you will certainly loose weight while supplying your body with needed nutrients. Samala, Renee ---- I am doing the positive self talk but just started three days ago Concerning this issue. I started a new job so that is going to be my Exercise program for now. Guest guest
These can be caused by underlying issues that don't get addressed with just changing diet. Self sabatoge etc are symptoms of deeper issues. Hypnosis is excellent for getting to deeper issues, same with Biofeedback. I have a client who started losing immediately when we dealt with issues about safty. It was safer for her to be overweight than weighing less. Also the body takes everything as truth...so when you use the term lose weight...the body starts looking for the weight it lost! The body however will successfully allow you to reduce weight... Thyroid out of whack is another reason to not reduce weight, Diabetes, parasites, fungus, emotions, sex abuse issues, stress, when the body is over stressed it does over produce Cortisol and cortisol tells the body to not let go of weigth. Adrenal exhaustion is another. Stress drains adrenals. I have clients all the time come to me and tell they aren't stressed. I put them on the SCIO, and they fall asleep they relax so deeply. Then I read the test results and they are sky high with stress scores. They have adapted so well to the alarm phase that they don't even realize they are stressed. At this point they are usually in exhaustion phase and chronic issues are present. Things the medical drs can't fix. Biofeedback is excellent for reducing stress and stress related issues. I am alive because of the SCIO process. Guest guest
Hi Linda! Thanks for the great response! Love your sense of humour. I have an added bonus to my weight loss issues...I have candida and have had it since my mid 20's when my Dr. kindly put me on a good three years of anti-biotics and I didn't know (way back then) about it being so bad for a body. Also...no gallbladder. There are days I feel doomed. So the salsa idea won't work for me because it will make my face break out that much more. (This could be another issue eh?) Raw veggies I can only eat a bit at a time due to the roughage. Sounds like I'm complaining but really I'm not. I'm only stating how things work in my God given body. Oh the simple joys life has to offer! lol The three lbs have been from the beginning of the year so I'm on track of the two lbs per week so I'm happy in that. I want to take it off slow but sure. I'm not so young that I'm into the speed dieting. I'm old and sensible now. ha ha ha. Okay...I'm 41 yrs old. Not ancient but when I am...I'll be celebrating that too. Thanks again for the suggestions! Always ~ Kim > > Yes ladles and jellyspoons; > > I too am doing it (or not doing it right now) When the craving comes > eat as much celery with salsa as you want. Guest guest
Hello Jenny; Thanks for your thoughtful response. I've had my thyroid checked many times over as it runs deeply in my family with the females. Nothing shows up and I've done both tests available. I know I have some underlying issues but had therapy and thought perhaps I had gotten rid of them. I was sexually abused at nine and then it was like I had a sign on my back up into my adulthood saying " Next " . The work you do sounds very interesting and I would be interested in learning more. Where do I go to find a practicioner such as yourself? I can only imagine what one would find in my sorted little life. :-) I've also read about what you said about the body losing weight and trying to find it. That's so amazing how the body reacts to what it is told. That is where my positive self talking is coming in and I'm doing my best to picture it and believe it. Thanks again for your help. Guest guest
Thanks Kim, I can do remote ( distance healing ) sessions or if you want to have in office sessions I can get you a link to other practitioners. Thyroid can have issues and not show up in standard medical tests. That is what mine has done. In the test scan on the SCIO it will test for thyroid and tell me if that is an issue. Yes sexabuse can cause weight issues! I know personally how that works. My mother is a medical hypnotherapist and medical intuitive. She is the one that told me all about that. Right now my web pages are down so give it a couple days..then check them out. www.quantumassociatesofutah.com I'll be glad to answer your questions. Guest guest
Greetings Suzie, I hope you are well. I do hypnosis sessions for weight loss, I also do life coaching focusing on weight mastery which has also been very beneficial for my clients desiring to lose weight. A combination of the two works wonderfully! It's never about the weight itself, there are always underlying issues. The excess weight is simply a symptom of the problem. There are many ways to loose weight, but unless you get to the emotional, spiritual and mental reasons for it, its likely you will not release it or you will regain the weight until the real issues are resolved. Additionally, I faciliate a holistic weight loss support for women in the MD/DC area. At some point I will consider offering this group via teleclass for individuals outside of the DC area. I would be happy to see if I'm able to assist you with your weight " release " goals. I offer a Free 30 min. consultation and I do hypnosis, life coaching, spiritual counseling as well as Reiki and Spirital healing via phone and distance. For more information about me, please visit my website below. I hope this helps. Guest guest
Kim, You might benefit from the group EFTslim. Check it out. I know exactly what you mean and I am working at figuring it out too! I am setting no goals for weightloss beyond being able to fit into my thin pants at the end of the winter, but that is starting to look doable! The following paragraph may be seen as a commercial message. If that is against your religion you can stop reading now. Metabazon is helping me enormously. Normally I become obsessed with food the moment I even think about the D word. With the help of my blood sugar-normalizing friend I can go from breakfast to well past lunch without even thinking about food, and NO hypoglycemia. You know, that feeling that the bottom is falling out and you can't think anymore and you have to get to food now or else....... I like it! Yeah, I sell it too, and I even provide samples. . Oh me oh my, isn't the world evil. Ien in the Kootenays http://freegreenliving.com

What can you eat a lot of that weight watchers might consider 0 points? I'm not a groupie person, but have found their point system to be rather effective data. Guest guest
Hello Kim, My name is Brittany just so we are on first name basis. I am a college student and within the first 2 years of college I have gained a lot of weight. I am in the same boat as you. I made it one of my resolutions to get healthy, loose weight and be in shape. So first thing, does peppermint oil help the process? Being that you asked for some pointers, one thing that helps me with controling weight that can be gained because of bloating and things of that sort is ginger tea. I would try to get the organic because it is more natural and powerful. Using lemon juice from the actual lemon not the bottled kind works well in water and helps the calorie burning process get a good go. One thing that I have learned is to start slow but at a steady pace. One mistake people make and I do it as well is to get too strict on yourself in your diet. Allow yourself for one of those days, not too extensive but 2 bites of a favorite " bad " snack. Then the craving for that food in particular should be gone. Another thing do you have a active regimen? Well I hope some of my words are of use to you. If you have any questions feel free to reply. I would also like to know some tips that you have learned as well! Good day! Guest guest
Hi Brittany! Thanks for the reply! I use Young Living Essential Oils in my water. One drop of peppermint oil in four litres of water does the trick. It's a digestive aid and if you drink any stronger you will run to the bathroom like there is no tomorrow. It gives my water a wonderful fresh flavour as well so I'm not getting bored of drinking plain water. I love the idea of the lemon and I would use my oil for that as well. It is VERY concentrated so one drop in a tall glass will do the trick and from what I remember it is best to drink the lemon water first thing in the morning. My exercise plan at the moment is a new job in a fast food restaurant. I'm 41 so....it's a work out. lol I come home and flop into my nice warm water bed after a four hour shift. I'm doing better then I thought I would though. I did drop another pound last week so yes I am on the slow road as well. I'm still fighting with myself over the foods I want. I get a craving and it consumes me. It must be that I'm a food junkie? lol I WILL master it though. I do find if I get my breakfast late or skip it (which I rarely do btw) that the rest of the day is a struggle for eating properly. I don't know you but I am proud of your walk in your new life of fitness and eating properly. We are in a world of food and I often wonder what it would have been like to live even 75 years ago when food was not at every street corner begging you to come through those magic doors. Stay in touch with your progress in my personal email if you wish. I wouldn't mind at all. Take care hon; Always ~ Kim > > Hello Kim, > > My name is Brittany just so we are on first name basis. Guest guest
Telephone or distance/remote healing doesn't require you to be in the same room with the practitioner. It works alot like a cell phone does. Picking up and transmitting signals to your body. I also offer weight reduction sessions included in the Biofeedback. In additon to relaxation and destressing, I also use hypnosis and de-hypnosis, nutrition education, homeopathics etc to help with success in weight reduction.
