Guest guest
When I was trying to improve my milk supply, I had this little supplement system that I purchased at a lactation specialty store ($40-ugh). It holds formula in a bottle hung around my neck and has two teeny tubes coming out. Each tube was taped to a breast so the end of the tube was almost even w/the end of my nipple. When the baby would suck, I would receive the needed stimulation and the baby would get a little bit of milk for their effort. They also rigged up a system similar to this while I was in the hospital. They used a huge syringe (2oz.?) w/a tiny piece of surgical tubing on the end of it. I just had to use the syringe to push the formula thru manually. I was also on nursing tea which contained red clover, blessed thistle, marshmallow and raspberry. I was also told to try brewer's yeast, and even went on a prescription for Reglan (something usually used on old people to get their systems moving?). Anyway, these weren't the answer for me, but they might work for someone. Alison
