Guest guest
Yup! Just bounce. 5 minutes of just up and down bouncing is equivalent to running a mile. You are exercising every cell in your body with this compression / decompression regimen. Just get yourself a cotton sports bra to prevent the black eyes. Guest guest
PS. Try to work up to 30 minutes a day minimum, and work up a real sweat. ) Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - Dr. Ian Shillington herbal remedies Monday, February 17, 2003 10:29 AM Re: [herbal remedies] Trampoline Yup! Guest guest
Dear Grampa Dan, I'm sure you're right, but one has to take a look at the statistics. I don't have an accurate count, but I'd be willing to bet that the number of women who suffer from a fallen uterous as a result of rebounding is less than one in 10 million. Also, there are usually signs of weakness in that area that would contraindicate rebounding if one were on top of it. Your MIL was probably that 1 in 10 million. I've never known of one adverse effect from rebounding in the thousands of patients I've recommended it to. Sure, sometimes you have to take it slow and on a gradient, and maybe start off with only two minutes a day and then work up from there, but this is usually no more than listening to your body and only pushing it so far. Mymother-in-law is 87 still does 20 pushups and walks for 45 minutes a day...areal exercise fanatic. Ten years ago she used the mini-trampoline, andbounced away for 15 minutes a day. Her uterus fell and she ended up having ahysterectomy as it came right out. So maybe elderly folks should bounce*really* gently, or not at all.Grampa Dan
