Guest guest
You're definitely doing the right thing taking garlic if you have canker sores. I know I sound like a broken record on this, BUT: Gotta story to tell: I posted on this list a number of times about using garlic to cure my Epstein-Barr virus. Well, a short time afterwards I developed peridontal disease...mentioned that as well. I developed a habit of going to the dentist alot at that time, and one day when I developed a sore in my mouth I was afraid that the peridontal disease was reoccurring, in a different form. My dentist's partner was the only one working the day I went in to ask about it. " He said, that's a canker; usually comes from Epstein-Barr virus. " And he hadn't even known anything about my medical history...! He didn't specify any treatment for it. So I went home and started to chow down on the garlic again. My ex-husband came home and suggested PROPOLIS. Apparently he was in the habit of using this for mouth sores, etc. So I got some and soaked a Q-tip with it, and put it in my mouth between the cheek and gums. It stung quite a bit but it really did help the pain to stop and seemed to speed up healing as well. I like " Holistic " brand propolis, which you can get in the health food store.
