Guest guest
Hi Christy, I am not an herbalist and this is Not a professional opinion. Only a personal experience. But recently somebody recommended the vitamin 5-htp to me for sleeplessness and mood stabilization. This is the vitamin found in Turkey, and is a natural sleep aid. Are you sleeping properly ? Also, Omega Fish oils have been shown in studies to be useful to many people in reducing depression and even certain forms of mental illness. Dr. Abram Hoffer did studies with schizophrenics using Niacin-amide, and Adelle Davis says a deficiency of this vitamin can lead to sleeplessness and paranoia. Sometimes, when I am feeling anxious, Kava Kava has been helpful. But me, personally, I would not take that pill in dry capsule form -- only in herbal extract form in a little water. Me, personally, I would not take any herb in dry pill form. Just a few thoughts... Im opening my closet of skeletons here, but hey, its the internet. hehe I worry constantly and am beyond tense about everything from my 2 yr old son just dying in the middle of the night to my husband cheating on me. These arent fleeting thoughts, but are most always present. Its driving me almost mad. Ive had traditional drugs before, but all they did was eithe make me feel like I wanted to buzz people up with chainsaws or make me feel like I didnt care about anything at all. If anyone has has positive results with anything out there, please fill me in! Thanks Christy

Guest guest
Hi Christy, it is not OT. Regardless of what society labels an illness (mental, psychological, spiritual, etc.), it is still an imbalance in your body. Lots of things could be causing you to feel this way, so please provide some info on your diet, medical history, medications, and daily routine. This way we can try to give you insights into how to solve the cause of the problem rather than slapping a bandaid on it and making it worse. Welcome to the list ;-) Janet - christy <emeraldflamez2 herbal remedies Monday, February 17, 2003 11:12 PM [herbal remedies] Hi..newbie Hello.
