Guest guest
Welcome, Christie! I am sure you will enjoy this list. Hmmmm. So often depression and anxiety are a symptom of other phyical issues. This is typically overlooked by the medical profession as many Docs just want to write a quick perscription for an antidepressant and send you on your way. In actuality though, the brain and mood are strongly effected by chemical processes called neurotransmitters. The body is so interconnected that a physical issue can throw off levels of neurotransmitters and utimately cause issues like excessive worry about death and other things you have described. From the way your post is worded it sounds like there is value in ruling out a physical cause of your symptoms. Another thing I clued in to in your post was that electronic devices are bothersome to you. I can relate to that. I experienced the same when I was suffering from aluminum poisoning. This will sound bizarre but having metals does what with electrical charges? Gives them off. The problem is when a human body has metal poisoning it stores the metals it cannot rid itself of. When you put something electronic (your internet device) while it is conducting electricity the charges from a persons body who has heavy metal poisoning and the charges off the internet device react. In my case a headache resulted (specifically an " irritablitility and an intolerance to distractions and noises) anytime I came in contact with even a battery operated cordless phone! The charges in the battery when they were located next to my head caused brain irritability when the charges from the aluminum in my head interacted with the charges from the battery in the phone! Hmmmph. I thought the whole thing was bizarre but as my aluminum poisoning improved so to did my tolerance for the phone and internet. I also experienced the same anxiety type thoughts you described even though I am by choice and nature an easy going person. I had a happy life, was pleased with things and had an optimistic nature however, I had these depressive troublesome thoughts. I learned the chemical component to my " emotional function " was being disturbed by the metal poisoning (in my case aluminum however other things like mercury, bisthmuth etc etc can also cause issues). Where can you get metal poisioning? We live in a world made of naturally occuring metals and we have introduced them to the human body in a variety of ways including dental amaylgrams (the metalic looking fillings) cookware that has weakend after many trussels with high temperatures, leach into some drinking water etc, etc. In my case it was through aluminum pans that began leaking minute amounts of aluminum into our food after about 10 years of heavy use. It was so bad it poisoned all 3 of my children as well and gave my husband a more mild elevelation. Do you have any other symptoms, Christie? A metalic taste in your mouth or stomach discomfort that will not go away? There are a host of symptoms that go with metal poisionings. I am not saying that you have or even probably have metal poisioning. Your reaction to your internet device and the emotional component to your symptoms keyed into things I could relate to when my aluminum poisioning was so bad. If you think this might be worth ruling out in your case let me know and I will give you more information to talk over with your Dr. Lead poisioning is a type of metal poisioning that many drs can relate to but overall many doctors do not have much clue about diagnoisis and treatment of other heavy metal poisoning. There isnt good data on incidence of metal poisoning as it is not commonly tested for but I would suspect it is an underdiagnosed condition. If it is please feel free to whip me with a wet noodle! ;-) > Anyway...Im Christy and I just joined hoping to find some answers and relief. I am sure you have info about my questions in the files section, but my internet device causes me many headcahes. Its not a computer, just a device that lets me onto the net, so it doesnt always work properly. > Anyway...lately I have found myself so depressed and anxious. I worry about everything from will my 2 yr old just die in the middle of the night to is my husband cheating on me. This is causing major problems in my home life. Its not a passing thought, it is always present in my mind causing me much worry and stress. I am always exhausted, but from what? Im only 28 years old and perfectly healthy otherwise. Is there an herb or heck even a method to teach myself not to be so worried about things I can not control? I have tried St Johns Wort after hearing lots of good things about it. However, I have found it does nothing for me. > Any suggestions would be much appreciated. > Christy
