Guest guest
Many people with your condition dramatically improve when they stay off all wheat and gluten products. You can still get all the B Vitamines you need by eating green leafy vegetables. If I were in your case I would try a week or two of only eating rice based breads, cereals, pastas. I wouldnt eat any cakes, pretzels, cookies, or crackers. Rice crackers are fine. If that doesnt completely remove your symptoms I would try a week or two of absolutely no corn products (no soda- made from corn syrup), no popcorn, corn chips etc. Most IBS people who try this respond favorably. It doesnt hurt to try a regime like this. My daughter and I have had IBS and am symptom free and med free when we adhere to this plan. Guest guest
Opps! I am not sure if my post is clear. If you dont get complete remission of symptoms after trying no gluten products (wheat etc) and try the no corn product routine you may want to do a combined no glueten and no corn together. (My dd was no glueten but could eat corn however I was no glueten and no corn- so no gluten alone or no corn alone wouldnt give complete remission of symptoms). Another indicator is if you are prone to arthritis you will likely benefit from the no corn but if you do not have joint pains it is likely you will get relief from no gluten alone.
