Guest guest
Hi JoAnne, I come from a family with a history of IBS. The thing that really saved me was the high fiber diet. I have to tell you that the more meds that you are on, the more problems your going to have. Getting off meds isn't easy, your body has to reajust, and it might be unpleasant for a bit, but the benefits are great. Most all of your problems can be corrected with change of diet and lifestyle. The meds you are taking all have big side effects, and cause their own problems. I didn't change my diet overnite. You have to get your mind ajusted to the change. I'm talking no coffee, no pop, purifued water, and lots of it. No sugar, no junk food. Going organic, if you can do it. You have to be careful what fruits and veggies you choose, since they can exaserbate the problem. It's a big change when your use to popping a pill. There's tons of good advice on this list. Good luck in getting better! Kathe
