Guest guest
Dear Doc, I sent a more detailed explanation of BRT to the list, but perhaps you didn't see it. I'm really interested in what you think of it, especially whether or not it accomplishes the same thing as the cleanses you have in the files. Here's what I posted to the list the other day: From what I understand, BRT uses the body's acupuncture points to clear out toxins in the body that are inhibiting the endocrine system. I'll paste an article below by the guy who developed it which explains it better. In my case it does seems to be helping. But I do wonder if a total body cleanse wouldn't serve the same purpose? Thanks for your help, Fern BODY RESTORATION TECHNIQUE May Eliminate Hormone Imbalances without Hormones, Supplements or Surgery By Dr. Eric Berg D.C., C.R.A. As founder of the Health and Wellness Center, Alexandria, Va., I had come upon many dead ends in my 13 years of practice trying to resolve sluggish metabolisms, hot flashes, PMS and low back pain from ovarian cysts and fibroids. I could not get consistent results to relieve these problems. I also did not understand why so many women were getting the similar problems-- fibroids, cystic ovaries, endometriosis, PMS hot flashes, breast cancer and cystic breasts. It didn't make sense, there had to be some common cause. After doing research at the Library of Congress I did find some interesting information. According to the Endocrinology Handbook by Harrower dated 1939, the ovary did not operate independently. It was one gland on a chain of other endocrine glands. Harrower called it the Ovarian Triad. It consisted of the ovary, thyroid and the pituitary. The ovary gave the fuel, the thyroid was the carburetor and the pituitary was the motor. When one gland was stressed, the others were directly affected. He mentioned in the book that excess estrogen could create great hazards in this triad. Looking at this triad, we then approached the problem from a different angle. We then made a discovery. We found one common denominator in virtually all-ovarian cases. We found these ovarian problems and their symptoms were coming from an excess toxic substance, which was interfering with the persons own estrogen balance. This toxin has apparently created confusion in the endocrine system. In fact, one of the side effects from this toxic material is abnormal cells in the uterus, breast cancer and ovarian dysfunction. The body always tries to keep a delicate balance of hormones and can become greatly disturbed by an external overload of toxic materials. The liver is supposed to deactivate this toxin but apparently this does not appear to be happening in the majority of cases. Working with this point of view, using an alternative non-invasive technique to restore hormone function caused skyrocketed results. Consistent results were observed in the majority of cases. We had to first remove this toxin, and then restore the hormones and glands. Body Restoration Technique (BRT) uses the knowledge of the acupuncture meridians (energy pathways) and muscle response testing to assist in neutralizing the adverse effects of toxins in the body. It also helps to balance hormones and restore glands. When we applied the Body Restoration Technique (BRT) to this specific toxin and hormones to the ovary and uterus, results were quick - most people noticed improvement the next day. It became apparent that the true cause of these problems involved excessive toxic material blocking hormone function. With the Body Restoration Technique (BRT), we can now help to balance hormones in the body naturally and quickly.
Guest guest
Well, aside from all that....which I think is a bunch of hype. A good way to rid yourself of excess toxins in your endocrine system is regular massage of the lymph nodes. These are located in your armpits, neck, groin area, abdominal area...Best time to do this is in the shower. You could use an oil with some detoxing essential oils to assist, but it's really the massaging that does the job of helping the lymph nodes to drain. Also, taking off your bra helps. Tends to 'clog' things up. Kim herbal remedies , " Fern " <readnwrite@f...> wrote: > Dear Doc, > > I sent a more detailed explanation of BRT to the list, but perhaps you > didn't see it. Guest guest
Dear Fern, I'm sure it would help. I prefer formal Accupressure to BRT as I know it works. BRT is still relatively an unknown for me as I haven't studied it in any great depth. Toooooooo busy at the moment to research it. ;o) It probably would help though.
