I didnt know you get still get stones stuck in the bile duct after having the gallbladder removed. That is worth thinking about if I ever get a gallbladder attack lol. Interesting enough, the more children you have the higher youre risk of gallbladder stones forming because each pregnancy can mess up the way a woman's body using bile or something. It is more complicated than this but this is the simplest way to explain it lol. And of course overweightness has to do with it in many cases. Just thought I would share this tidbit

Stones can also form in the liver which is where cholesterol is manufactured. As the stones are formed from cholesterol they can still exist even without the gall bladder. Definitely something to consider. Also worth considering doing a periodic liver gall bladder cleanse even if you don't have a gall bladder. Will help in removing the stones before they plug up the piping.

In reply to your question. I've had to go low fat with most things

although I dont always stick to it. I eat normal stuff I guess

including red meat but not alot, usually mince, chicken and fish but

not the fresh kind (too expensive) I've recently started juicing

fruit which I like, havent tried vegies yet! Dont eat alot of fruit

apart from the juice and I eat 2-3 veg a day with one meal. I have

cereal for breakfast usually high fibre. We have our main meal at

lunch time and a sandwich for tea. I usually drink tea and water

and occassionally coffee. I stay clear of fried foods except for

maybe chips. I dont cook prepackaged foods often unless your

talking about frozen peas and corn? Is it worth noting I've had 5

children all born by c-section (a whole different story of how

doctors think they know best!!) I weigh 47kg and am 5'2 never really

been overweight. Does this help you anymore?

Hi Joanne,

Okay, cause they took your gall bladder out you cannot store bile anymore. As the liver produces upwards of a litre of bile a day this has to go somewhere. If you do not have any digestion going on then the bile will just sit in the common bile duct until the hormone cytocsytokinin (CCK), which is triggered by digestion, causes the relaxation of the sphincter between the common bile duct and duodenum, allowing the bile to flow into the small intestine. So, one way to alleviate having all that bile sit there and turn into stones or what not is to eat maybe 5 or 6 small meals per day. Of course, you also need to not consume much in the way of fats as you no longer can dump as much bile as you used to before. This really cuts down on fat digestion. I would suggest that you cut out the teas and coffee and drink only herbal teas. Hops, in a tea, is very good for the bile ducts as it helps to relax them. Horseradish (dried root) is also very good to relieve the gall ducts. Cascara Sagrada can also be used and is very good for the liver and gall ducts.

Your juicing of fruits is very good. You can also juice up the veggies too. Try to use only certified organic if possible. When you do eat, chew your food until it is totally liquified and thoroughly mixed with your saliva. This will greatly reduce stress on the rest of the digestive tract too. You don't want to stop the production of HCl in the stomach as you need that to continue with the digestive process. It isn't the HCl that causes the ulcers. Ginger or garlic can assist in stopping any fermentative or gaseous processes that are occurring in the stomach. I really think that eating 5 or 6 smaller meals will assist you much more.

Too, if you are using milk with your cereal you might wish to reconsider and use rice milk or almond milk instead. Cows milk has too much fat in it and unless you can obtain unpasturized milk it is totally void of the enzymes necessary for your body to properly digest it.

Anyway, this is a start and something for you to think about. I do believe that there are others on this list who will have some excellent ideas and thoughts on this as well. Best of wishes to you Joanne. It takes strength and determination to seek out the knowledge to begin healing oneself. It takes even greater determination to carry it through to completion.

Dear Joanne,

I'm sorry to hear that your common bile duct was removed as well. Sheesh! I could shoot medicos when I hear of this kind of thing. The common bile duct is not only for your gallbladder, but for your liver and your pancreas as well. That's why they call it the "common bile duct". Those three organs have ducts coming out of them that meet and form this common bile duct. By removing it, in essence, the other two remaining organs do not have a way of dumping toxins which could potentially lead to diabetes down the road.

Can you do anything about this???

Absolutely!

For one thing, you need to go strictly vegan. I don't normally recommend this for most people, but in your case, I do. Your body at this stage of the game can simply not process meat, fish, fowel, eggs, or dairy of any kind. I've heard of a gallbladder growing back once it was removed, but never a "common bile duct", though I'm not saying this is impossible.

My ultimate recommendation for you would be the "Total Body Cleanse" for a month, and a daily dose of DMSO over the next 3 years. A lot of raw organic veggies and fruit, and organic sprouted grains. No meat, or any product that came from anything that had a face. Pure Vegan. Absolutely NO Sugar and NO Booze. If you were to regrow a new GB and CBD, it would because of the DMSO realigning the DNA back to the original blueprint.

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but that's the only way.

Love,

Doc

PS. I don't know whether a transplant would work or not, but you may wish to check it out. The medicos fucked this up, perhaps using that technology could fix it, but I just dunno on that one hon.

[herbal remedies] Gall Bladder removed?

I have a question?I had my GB removed about 2 yrs ago and 6mths ago got what I call a GB attack twice, went to Hosp and found I had a gall stone in my common bile duct, and so had it removed. I am realising now! that I could have kept my GB and done a flush and changed my diet etc. My mum and older sister also have had theirs out. At the time the pain for me was so frightening I just wanted it out so it wouldnt happen again, of course I was told that it wouldnt and I didnt really need my GB anyway!! ha! I am now suffering from reflux worse at night. I am discovering from other people who have had their GB out that there are consequences for removing an organ. My mum and sister have had bad reflux to the point of ulcers and now having to sleep upright, and on medication daily just to keep the stomach acid at a minimum. My question is how can I do this naturally, I'd like to be pro-active before it gets worse, I dont have any burning just quite burpy and that lumpy feeling in the back of my throat. I have read of using Acidophilus powder. Does anyone have any more suggestions? If you need more info from me I'd be happy to let you know. I'm 35yrs old.Joanne
