Try this:

Ear Drops:This is one of those recipes that you can make to suit yourself as far as itspotency is concerned. My favorite is:1 cup of Organic Cold Pressed Olive Oil2 tablespoons of powdered Mullein3 medium sized cloves of garlicThrow in a blender and puree the dickens out of it. Place in a jar and store ina dark place for two weeks. Make sure you shake daily. At the end of two weeksstrain, press and bottle and there you go. Very easy.On a very bad infection, I'll use more garlic and on children I'll use only two, and it's not necessary to wait the two weeks if you need it right away.Again, experiment around to suit your own tastes. Best is to make your batch onthe New Moon and press it on the Full Moon.ken <kenshireen wrote:

I have had good luck with 1 tbsp. olive oil and 5 or 6

drops of tea tree oil. But this is with humans...i

don't see why you couldn't use it on dogs since they

make shampoos out of it for them :) The only catch

is that with humans you leave it in the ear for 10

minutes before draining....maybe your dog will lay

still long enough?

Good luck!

p.s. has it been checked for ear mites?

Dilute the tea tree - using full strength might be hard on the kitties.

John,

Maybe she's got food allergies she doesn't know about! In kids if you eliminate

the dairy, oranges and bananas they usually see a marked improvement. She's

old (just mean that she's not a kid, not that she's OLD) to be getting so

many infections so I'd really look to her diet. Does she have a history of

mucous problems, problems with her lungs, constant colds, bronchitis, that

sort of thing? How about asthma?

My question with this recipe is, does it keep well? I

noticed the volume, and if one is using only

dropperfuls at a time, it would take quite some time

to go through it.

Ken, what you describe sounds much more like ear mites than an ear

infection.

A tried remedy for both and also for wax buildup is an aloe hydrogen

peroxide combo.

Mix two ounces of aloe vera juice with one teaspoon of food grade

hydrogen peroxide. Put a dropper full (depending on size of animal)

in each ear and massage for 1 - 2 minutes. You'll hear the squishing.

Let the dog shake it off. Repeat this daily untill the brown

discharge is cleared. Repeat once a week for three weeks to prevent

reoccurance, and if possible give the dog a bath weekly to remove

mites and eggs from coat.

For weekly maintenance you can clean the ear with a diluted ACV

solution, peroxide, or witch hazel. Follow this with some vitamin E

on a cottonball and you should eliminate this problem entirely.

This also works for cats.

Heal the body heal the spirit!

Well, she IS older than me, so I guess that makes her

old. But yes, she does have mucous problems and

frequent bronchitis. We live in a very damp house, and

are combating mold all the time. We assume that has

something to do with it. I think that she does have

allergies, and have suggest the body cleansing

regimine in the files section, but so far she is hesitant.

John,

Maybe she has to take it more slowly than that. Ask her to try to completely

avoid all dairy, bananas and oranges for two weeks and to see how she feels

after that. If she does start to feel better she may be more willing to try

more drastic approaches. Just keep in mind that if she does find out that

she is allergic to dairy she will have to avoid it COMPLETELY (and I mean

reading every single label and finding out in what forms dairy is found in

food) for at least a year, and also she can expect a healing crisis in a

couple of months. Dairy takes so long to get out of your system it's not

even funny, but it may prove to be an entirely worthwhile endeavour for her.

I recommend "Food and Healing" by Annemarie Colbin if you need more information

on this.

1 to 2 a day depending.... I take it at room temp.... Just down it and then take a drink of water or apple juice after if necessary... You do sort of acquire a sort of taste for it after awhile...
