We are the best teachers for our children Ann :-) If someone on Ben's team doesn't like the way I do things, they know where the door is hehe! The fact is they KNOW I get better results than they do (that must really mess with the psychs minds!)

Re: [herbal remedies] Home Schooling -/Zeb better or not?

Boy Zeb, I have NEVER encountered any kind of school personnel that thought home schooling was a good idea, especially for my son(he's autistic). I can always see the inward cringe when they find out "he's not in school". Usually, I just have to point out that our school district is the worst of the worst(our district is in the bottom 10 of 165 districts in a state that is in the bottom 10 in the country) and, even though I don't have the wealth of knowledge they have, I'm the best option he's got. Only one person agreed with me, the rest just walk away thinking William and I are lost causes. Thanks for the boost,Ann

Dragging up some post from yesterday about home schooling. I have worked at a private school for over 5 years now and by far the best students we get are home schooled. The best. Socially they adapt much faster then someone from a public school. Not only can they adapt but they have not been exposed to several things which can ruin a child's perspective on life and how it really works.Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. If you are pregnant, consult your physician before using any natural remedy. 3. The Constitution guarantees you the right to be your own physician and toprescribe for your own health. We are not medical doctors although MDs are welcome to post here as long as they behave themselves. Any opinions put forth by the list members are exactly that, and any person following the advice of anyone posting here does so at their own risk. It is up to you to educate yourself. Doc is such a great teacher himself. He has helped me enormously on improving my children's diet. My 2 sons are autistic. If I may ask Zeb, do you take special needs children in your private school?

Dear Zeb,

Yes you can post it. Simply, per the policies of the list you can not post a URL that you are connected to in any manner for the purpose of making a profit ;o)

For those of you who have just met Zeb over the last couple of days, Zeb or Zebbie as I affectionately call him is one of the best teachers in the world as far as I'm concerned. He was instrumental in the education of my son Bryan (no easy task LOL) and turning him into the ethical man he is today. Zebbie is a teacher at the Mojave Academy, the private school I mentioned in an earlier post that Bryan went to as a student. This school is awesome and has straightened out more kids that have been messed up by the system than you can shake a stick at.

Try this on for size. At this school, if the students don't like a teacher, the school gets rid of the teacher, not the student.

What a concept!!! LOL

Zeb is currently working for my company very part time (learning the ropes), but come the fall will be leaving the school after 5 wonderful years and will be taking over Debbie's place as my new apprentice and with his wife Rosie will be moving with Valorie and I to Florida.

One of his first duties is assigned in present time as I now make him a moderator of this list. Please welcome him. ;o)

Much love,

Re: [herbal remedies] Home Schooling -/Zeb better or not?

Janet,

We usually only allow 2 at a time as it is far more work and we have to have one staff member really on top of how they are doing and making sure they are properly cared for. I'm not entirely sure to be honest as I'm not in the enrollments department. You'd have to ask the lady there. If they did not qualify she may still be able to help you find a place that would work for them.

I'm very new to the list and am not sure if I can post a website address for the school so you could go to it and read up on us.

Am I allowed to post it?

Does Florida recognize the credentials of Naturopathic

Doctors? I did a search a while ago, when I first

joined this list, looking at states and their regs

concerning this sort of thing, and I seem to remember

Florida as not recognizing it. If not, how will this

effect your practice?

No, they've been very covert about it.

3 years ago FL passed a law that only licenced Naturopaths could practice in the state. Very interesting cause they haven't issued a "new" licence in over 18 years LOL What a scam.

It won't effect my practice at all, since almost the entirety of what I do is by phone consultation. I'll also probably hire a masseuse and call it a health center rather than a doctor's office. I'll connect up with the local organic farmers and start a co-op as well to help them sell their wares in the same building or "office". I could also go to a local college and just write the exams to become a CNC = Certified Nutritional Councellor, and practice under that licence. There are many ways to operate within the system without breaking any laws.

Love,

Doc
