Actually, onions are potentially toxic to cats & dogs. They can cause

hemolytic anemia in both cats and dogs. You can visit www.aspca.org and

there is a link to the Animal Poison Control Center. It also has a

listing as to what household plants are toxic to pets.

Also, grapes and raisins are toxic to dogs and tomatoes are toxic for

cats.

Onions are not bad for dogs unless you give them too much and nothing or

little else. Add sprouted rice to your new dog's food mix, it will help

him/her adjust and gain a little weight. Use certified organic produce

and meat in your recipes, just like you would for your human family ;-)
