I've heard the heat is in the seeds...in habanero, cayenne...and other

peppers. Gaye

This makes sense to me. When I had the dried up peppers, I was taking them apart and touching the seeds - so this would make sense. Never know though. Interesting topic

May be... but I have found that it seems to be the juice that gets me.. but maybe it's the seeds causing the juice to be hot... but if you wash your hands, not just rinse them.. you'll be okay.

You have to remember that the seeds are a concentrated self contained

" whole pepper " ...they contain all the essence of the pepper...But it is

still debatable...lol. Again JMO...Gaye

I've heard it was the seeds and the pulp matter that

the seeds are held in. I like to dry out our pepper

seeds, habs, serranos, jalepenos, etc, then put them

in the pepper mill and grind them. YUMMY!!!
